Alex slapped Dusk across the face, knocking the tired husky off his feet. Peter and Emma held him back from full on attacking. "Where's my sister!?" Alex lashed out, but his friends were holding him back from doing any serious damage.
Dusk touched his face. "I told you already, she's gone." He said simply.
"YOU TELL ME THE TRUTH RIGHT NOW, OR I SWEAR TO GOD, I'M GONNA-"
"Alex! Relax!" Cairry cried, pulling Dusk to his feet.
"NO! I will not relax! He knows! He's worked for the Master, he knows! And he better tell us what he knows!" Alex yelled.
Dusk sighed. "She's gone! Your sister is gone! That's all I can tell you!"
"Do you know more?" Alex pushed.
"...I will not lie, I know more. But I will not tell you everything."
"You be-"
"If I tell you, it could put you and your friend's lives in danger! Even your sister if the Master found out! So, I will not tell you!"
Even after Dusk had told Alex that, the cheetah couldn't help but be even more angry. "JUST TELL US!"
"ALEX!" Cairry yelled, catching his attention. "He said, if he tells us, we'll all be in even more danger than we already are! You'd be putting us," She pointed to herself and the others. "Them," She pointed to the kids. "And Bella! Do you really want to do that?"
Alex looked at the ground. "No..." He said quietly. "But, how do we know we can trust him? He might still work for the Master!" Alex accused.
"You know, I am no longer bonded to the Master. It was a strange feeling, losing my connection with him. But, a good feeling. It was like losing a huge burden on my back." Dusk explained.
"Are you saying you don't work with the Master anymore?" George asked.
"No, I don't work with him anymore. And I know he's getting stronger. He can create his own followers, he's beginning to create his own beings, going out and corrupting others." Dusk explained. Alex huffed, folding his arms after Peter and Emma let him go. "He is! He's created these beings that look like things you could never imagine. In fact, if we don't hurry and start moving again, they'll-"
There was a rustle in the bushes, everyone in the group looked into the woods. Dusk took a step towards the woods, looking in deeper. His eyes suddenly wide. He turned around and picked up Rose-ann and took Peter by the hand.
"RUN! RUN! Don't let them bite you!" Dusk cried, running with Rose-ann and Peter.
"Hey! Get back here with my sis-" Izayay started, but then, something jumped out of the bushes. It was a little blue and yellow bunny, non-anthropomorphic. "GAH!" He screamed. "WHAT THE HELL IS THAT THING!?" He backed away, going after Peter, Rose-ann, and Dusk.
Alex picked up the bunny, it was like lifting a feather. "You're scared of this little thing?" Alex asked, holding it up like it was Simba. "Why, it's just a little- HOLY SHI-!" Alex was cut off as a massive, non-anthropomorphic cheetah jumped on his back, pinning him to the ground. The large cat bared its teeth, drool splattering Alex's back. It went to bite him, but then Cairry kicked it in the jaw. It fell off his back.
"Alex! Alex, get up! Everyone else is already gone!" She said, pulling Alex to his feet. After he got himself balanced, which didn't take long, they dashed through the forest, the cheetah right behind them.
Meanwhile, up ahead, Dani mocked the small, non-anthropomorphic, magenta cat in front of her. "Do you think you can corrupt me!?" She laughed.
