He stood once again, stunned.

"She did not accept my gift?" He asked his advisor.

"Yes sir. Your wife refuses your endearments," his advisor bows.

"I don't get it. I marry her and she refuses me. Tell me, why does she?"

"She says she does not love you because this was all arranged. She said she loved another."

"Arranged by me. Why does she not love me? I brought her away from that hell hole of a home! I fell for her once I saw her walk into school that day three years ago. I remembered when she would cry on my shoulders... We were friends. At least until she knew who I was. I never meant to deceive her. I could just be myself around her," he turns to his advisor, "Hyunggu, send her to me."

"Yes, Crown Prince."

Not much sooner, Advisor Hyunggu came in with the crown princess following. He bows and stands to the side.

"Leave us."

His command was not denied. They all left without much sound. He drops from his seat and walks to his loved one.

"Hwi-"

"Crown prince, I apologize for I have done to you."

"Hwi-in, what have you done?"

"I have-"

"Done a lot. Hwi-in, do you surely believe I do not love you?"

"Of course, Changgu- crown prince. I believe it was."

"Remember the day when I first came to the school?"

"Yes," she keeps her head lowered.

"When I first saw you, I never imagined such a woman carry herself so well. You stood well and walked with grace. Then when I tried to approach you, you didn't care for my title. Well, you didn't know. You held yourself well and strong-willed, and always rebelling against the norm. I never felt so compelled in my life to prove that I was enchanted."

He walked over and lifted his wife's head.

"I wanted to give you everything. Every tear you shedded I wanted to be there to wipe them off. I wanted the to be the one who makes you smile. Then I saw how your parents treated you. I was so mad, so when I came to you and said for you to marry me because I could get you out of there, it was because I wanted you."

"Changgu- crown prince, I am not who you think I am. I don't want any of this-"

"Then I free you."

Hwi-in stares in shock.

"You want to let me go?"

"If that is what you want. I don't want you to be unhappy. I brought you out of your home to make you happy and if you're not happy here, then you shall go do what it takes you happy."

"Thank you, Crown Prince."

Hwi-In bows before hurrying out. Crown Prince walks back to his seat and sits for a while in silence before a knock came on the door.

"Come in," he speaks and looks up to see a familiar face, "Caretaker Han Dana, how's my little sister?"

"She is well, Crown Prince."

"Well, why are you here?"

"I'm here because I wanted to speak with about an important matter."

"Speak."

"I am asking if I could retire."

"Retire? Why do you ask for such a request?" He asks back in confusion.
