Beyonce opened the front door to her house and juggled her paper bags in her hands expertly. Diamond had recently talked her into getting plastic bags for her groceries since it was recyclable and Beyonce felt like she was doing her part for the environment. It wasn't a big part but she was still proud of what she did. I'm a good person, the thought as she entered her apartment.

Shawn was sitting on her couch watching TV. His legs were stretched out and his feet rested comfortably on her coffee table as he looked at the TV idly. He smiled at her when she closed the door and put her bags on her table.

"Hey," he spoke calmly.

"Shawn," she said sighing. She had the house to herself. Jamie was at Diamond's house with her new best friend Ahmad and she didn't need Beyonce anymore. Now all she wanted to do was play with Ahmad and hang out with Ahmad. Beyonce couldn't believe she was jealous of a little boy but... that was her baby! She pushed those thoughts aside and focused on the grown man sitting in her house.

"Shawn what are you doing here?"

He pointed at the TV and lifted a beer to his lips casually. "The games on. Selita said I shouldn't watch it because I watched a lot of TV today," Shawn chuckled as he talked about his girlfriend and her crazy ways.

Beyonce rolled her eyes, wondering why he had to be in her house just because of that. It had nothing to do with her. She bit her tongue and just put her bags in the kitchen on the counter. Then she walked through the living room into her bedroom. Beyonce stripped from her street clothes and put on something lounge-worthy and breathable. She pulled her hair up off her neck and slid on some socks. "Well, when are you leaving?" she pressed, throwing a subtle hint in his direction.

Shawn smirked, not put off by the attitude. He was almost numb to it and didn't give a about it anymore. He was proud of himself and the long way he'd come. "I don't know Beyonce," he murmured, sipping his beer. "No time soon."

"Shawn," she said coming out of the kitchen with empty hands that were splayed on her ample hips. "Jamie's not here so I don't see the need for you to be."

"But I am," he said smiling at the way her eyes thinned and she got instantly upset. "Chill. Look just pretend I ain't here."

"Shawn, you're six foot four with your feet on my damn coffee table. How the hell am I suppose to pretend you're not here?"

"What's the matter Bey," he said, using a name she hadn't heard in forever. It almost weakened her. "Lost your imagination?"

She turned on her heels and mumbled. "I thought I lost you but you just keep in' showin' up."

"Ouch," he screamed so that she could hear him. "You cold as ice girl."

"Then leave!"

Shawn looked down the nose of his beer with one eye closed and realized he was a bit tipsy and otherwise, untouched by Beyonce's glares and harsh words. The thought was comforting to him. "Ain't going nowhere," he said more to himself as a response to her suggestion to leave.

She was so glad Diamond was watching Jamie. She was taking Ahmad and her to the zoo tomorrow and the closest one was two hours away so they agreed Jamie would stay the night at Diamonds. She walked back through the living room and looked at Shawn as she passed to the kitchen.

"You finna cook?" he asked with enthusiasm. Beyonce nodded and pulled her things from the bags she'd brought in. She had a couple pounds of beef tips and some noodles. She started by browning her tips, seasoning them heavily. Beyonce loved her onion powder sauce and budlight recipe. It was her favorite.
