(Y/n) POV
We were given two worksheets in Math, to be completed for the next day. Asume-sensei had instructed the class to get started on it so that's what most of them did. Shikamaru and I sat side by side in silence (except for the occasional times I asked for help).
It felt like time flew past us, soon the bell rang indicating the start of second period. Each period was an hour long so it surprised me when it rang, it felt like 10 minutes.
I packed my things into my back pack. Shikamaru and I walked out the class together before separating by the door with a friendly wave. I made my way to English while he went to Gym. I sped walked to class to get there soon, apologizing to anyone I bumped into and briefly saying hello to those who greeted me. Who are half these people anyway?!
I should probably take the time to get to know them, not to be rude or anything.
I bumped into Naruto at the door.
"Good, now tell me everyth-! Hey!!" I grabbed Naruto and dragged him with me into class. I bolted to the back corner table closest to the window. I took the seat next to the window and pulled Naruto into the seat next to mine. In case a certain slut tried to sit next to me.
"(Y/n)..." Naruto looked at me with intense blue eyes, I knew what he wanted.
"Look...I'll tell you tonight... Bring pizza and video games. We can have one of our 'goofball' nights again. Like we use to do. Deal?" I was trying to buy time. I didn't want to get upset all over again especially now in class.
Naruto and I use to once a week, have a pizza and video game night. It was what we'd do to spend time together. Naruto and I have always been close. Especially when we were younger. It was just him and I back then.
Soon class filled with students. Sasuke sat at the back too but at the table furthest away from me. Good. Sakura sat in the front in the row I was in. Bitch.
"Okay!" Naruto shouted before pulling me into a side hug. "It's been forever since we did that! I can't wait to spend time with my favorite girl!" Naruto really had a voice that could travel through a room. I caught a glance of Sasuke staring at us and he did not look happy.
Even though its not what he thinks it is, Sasuke deserves to be upset. Cheater.
Surprisingly, Kakashi got to class fairly early, considering it's him.
"Settle down everyone! Please, I gotta get you guys started on these practice exams!" The white haired teacher held up a stack of papers. Naruto let go of me and cupped his hands around he's mouth.
"Boo!"
"Naruto!" Kakashi scolded. "If everyone does not settle down then I won't give you guys free time." The class settled.
I sweatdropped in disbelief.
'We get more free time in this class than work...it really wouldn't make a difference. Not unless this jackass actually pitched to class....' I thought quietly to myself.
The practice exam was handed to us and we got started on it. Soon I finished with mine and sneakingly helped Naruto with his. Just a few grammar or spelling mistakes.
Soon enough, the class was buzzing with chatting students again.
Naruto was telling me a time he and Kiba went out to the mall together and then ended up at in a limo mysteriously. I laughed and felt happy taking to him. He really took the stress of my shoulders.
"Anyone still busy?" Kakashi called out, no one replied back meaning everyone was done. The teacher placed a hand in his hip. "Good, everyone pass your papers to the front."
We did as we were told. Kakashi neated the pile of papers before turning to us again and clapping his hands to gain our attention.
"Okay, you all will have a creative writing project to complete in two weeks from today. It'll be a group project." He called out. There was a chorus of mixed emotion from the class.
'I don't mind as long as I'm not with Sasuke OR Sakura.'
"Wanna be in a group with me, (Y/n)?" Naruto asked me.
"Sure." I smiled.
"I have already set the groups of three."
An irk mark appeared on a lot of students foreheads.
"I'll call out everyone's groups now. Group one-"
Time passed and everyone waited for their name to be called. Naruto was put in a group with Kiba and a girl named Hiyori.
As the names got called, my stomach dropped more and more.
"And group number ten: Sasuke Uchiha, Sakura Haruno and (Y/n) (L/n)."
I stared in shock at the teacher.
"Now please go sit with your group members and I'll call one of you at a time to give you a play idea you will have to write and then act out."
Some protested at the idea of a play but they walked to their group anyway.
I felt Naruto place a hand on my back and knew he said something, I don't know what but it was probably sympathetic.
I felt extremely light headed and nauseous.
"(Y/n)..?" I wish my hearing hadn't started to fade in just to hear the voice that I once loved.
"What!?" I snapped at Sasuke, glaring at him from the corner of my eye.
"We need to go get our play idea from Kakashi." He acted unfazed by my tone or glare.
We walked to the front and waited for group nine to leave.
"Okay. Group ten. You're play is gonna revolve around this." Kakashi handed us each a paper.
'Person 1: Stop telling me how to live my life!
Person 2: I'm your consciousness. That's my one job!
Person 3: Come on, no one has to know!'We looked at each other but said nothing. We all went to my table and sat in silence. Occasionally Sakura would open her mouth but one glare from either Sasuke or me, she'd close it again.
