"Abigail." Spencer is whispering my name which means the coast is clear. I roll up in my wheelchair, with about a million things plugged into my arm.

"You sure you're ready?"

"Always"

"Ready set GO!" I start to pull the wheels on my chair faster and faster. I almost knock down four nurses and two doctors.

I look over to see Spencer laughing as hard as he always does when papers are flying in the air and other kids come pouring out of their rooms to cheer for us.

Spencer and I look back at the same time to see nurses yelling at us, just like they do every Saturday. That doesn't stop us though because it's coming up on the end. I can see the finish line now, which is just some toilet paper but to us it's bragging rights and I'm about to win.

"Woooooo!!!" I hear every kid in the hallway scream as I pass trough the finish line.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

"Are you jealous that I have beat you three weeks in a row?"

"No! I let you win." We both knew he was lying but we both didnt need to say anything.

The walk back to our rooms was quiet but peacefull. Spencer is in the room next to me so we can talk through the vent at night because we moved both our beds right next to it.

"Hey Abigail, thanks."

"For what?"

"Being my friend." That was all I needed to hear before I started to tear up. My life here would be a wreck with out Spencer.

***FLASHBACK***

"Come on, honey." I don't know how my mom could expect me to walk into this hospital, knowing I wasn't gonna breath fresh air for a while.

When I took my last good breath, I entered. There was nurses and doctor but it was calm. No one was bleeding out, no one was dying infront of me, it was calm.

"Hello. My name's Angel. I'll be your main nurse." her has less of a bounce and it was shorter with pink streaks.

"INCOMING!!" I hear one of the nurses scream and the hospital goes from calm to crazy in one 13 year old boy riding past in a wheelchair.

"Thats Spencer. It's his first week here and he has already cause so much chaos." I think Angel realized I wasn't paying attention, I was just starring at the boy who could make my stay, not hell.
