"Hunter," I heard a soothing voice from what sounded like a kind young woman."Hunter wake up." I was so comfortable I didn't want to wake up my bed was so warm. "SLAP! Wake up Hunter I'm not going to ask you again, don't make me grab my whip." I woke up seeing that I was not in fact with a lovely, kind-hearted, woman. In fact, I was with the reincarnation of evil, Ms. Dede. She was wearing a red blouse and black yoga pants. her eyes were filled with anger and hatred. "Get up, get dressed then go to adoption room people are visiting. I want you to sit in a corner reading one of the bullshit books that you adore so much and don't say a word unless spoken to. Got it?" She explained sternly. "Yes, ma'am." "Good"
She walked out of the room closing the door behind her. I got up and walked over to my closet while wiping the sleep out of my eyes. I picked out a black hoody to hide my scars underneath. I grabbed one of my books and trudged downstairs.
Once I got downstairs I followed what Satan, I mean ms. Dede wanted me to do. went to the corner and started reading listening to my thoughts. "Hey." I looked up slightly startled by the man who had just appeared in front of me. "Sorry I didn't mean to scare you, I'm Josh. What's your name?" "My name is Hunter," I said quietly. I looked up at him and got a good look at him. He had dyed his hair recently to bright pink, he had a nose ring and beautiful dark brown eyes. His arm had tats all along it. But his smile showed sympathy and concern. "Are you okay?" Josh asked his eyes showing even more concern as he studied my features as I did him. "I need help," I said really quiet so Ms. Dede wouldn't hear me. "what's wrong?" He asked with even more concern and just as quietly. "I'm being abused and hurt by Ms. Dede." Now was my chance I thought. Now is my chance to finally get out of this god forsaken hell hole. "look, I'm, not crazy," I lifted up my sleeve a bit so that he could see the scars from ms. Dede whipping me with what us orphans called the Iron Whip. It was a whip with sharp pieces inside of the leather so that when she hit us with it we would bleed. "oh my god Hunter!" he said in a hushed voice. "don't worry I'm here now I'm going to help." He looked at me and mouthed the words "Stay put." I obliged without question.
