I stepped into the ambulance nervous about what I might find. All I could think is what do I say to make him feel better. This thought was racing through my head like a lightning bolt that just kept getting faster. Before I stepped in I was stopped by the doctor. "before you go in there, it might be a little scarring and terrifying." All this did was make my heart race faster and faster from the fear of seeing this poor kid covered in scars. Finally stepping into the ambulance I look around to see a couple of different medical supplies. Defribulators, sewing kits, blood pressure things, and a couple of electronics I didn't know about. Then I looked at Hunter. His facial expression said it all, he was self-conscious and terrified of what I might say.
His whole body was covered in scars of various sizes. looking at his body all I could think is how long has this been going on and how can I make it better? "Josh? Please say something..." Hunter was talking in such a worried tone as if I might not except him because of his appearance. I looked down at the floor, trying to think of what I could say to make him feel better. Suddenly It came to me, I walked over to Hunter and gave him a giant hug. I could hear and feel his soft crying of relief. Finally, this nightmare was over.
Hey guys Aiden again, I just wanted to thank everyone who has read this so far! Make sure to vote for it so I can get some more reads! I know this has been a pretty depressing start to the story and I promise that the worst of it is over and congratulations for getting through it. For the next couple chapters, Hunter is going to be meeting new people and is beginning to adjust to his new life, if you have any thoughts or ideas leave a note in the comments and I will try to implement them into the story!
