You sit on a bench in the studio, watching as the boys rehearse a new dance. It's a big number, for their new music video, Get To Know You. You came for moral support, for your boyfriend, David. He glacnces up from the huge mirror frequently, trying to grab your attention in any way possible.
You smile and wave. You both loved dancing, but you just did it for fun. David's role in the band made it necessary.
The choreographer is a pretty, elegant, tall girl in a pair of leggings and a loose, cropped t-shirt. Her hair is up in a messy bun that is somewhat much neater than it is messy. She stands in front of a large mirror that stretches from wall to wall.
"Okay, we're gonna put it all together on three! You ready?" she chirps.
The boys all look half dead, but the nod meekly anyways. She picks up a remote off the ground and switches on music that seems to rattle the ground. Counting off, they all begin dancing, You smile, that is until you see David. He misses steps and looks like he'd rather be sprawled out on the ground than be practicing all day. You shoot him an encouraging look, but he pouts.
The girl stops the music. "David," she sighs. "You're getting it all wrong."
He blushes and looks down, frowning. "I-I'm sorry, I just can't get that last one down."
The girl's eyes soften, and she, much to your dismay, lays a gentle hand on his shoulder. "I'll help you," she offers, too sugar coated for your taste. You watch slack-jawed as she runs a hand down his back. Insecurity bubbles up inside you, but you force a small smile as he glances back to where you sit.
The entire rehearsal for the next ten minutes discludes Cole, Dana, Will, and Gabe, and instead has the choreographer focused intently and solely on your boyfriend. It was innocent, you were sure, but you were actually quite angry. After ten minutes of not getting it right, you'd finally had enough. You walk over to David, forcing a smile.
"Still not getting it?" you tease. He turns around and blushes. "N-no..." he admits sheepishly. "Not really. {G/N} was trying to teach me, but nothing's working."
You shrug and look down at the ground, kicking at it with your sneaker. "I can help. I mean, if you don't mind." You glance up hopefully. The girl smiles and nods. "You know the dance?" she asks, her voice tinged with an accent. You nod. "I've been watching for hours."
David smiles, throwing his arms out to his sides. "Alright babe. Teach me."
You laugh and get to work instantly as the girl goes back to rehearse with the others.
After about ten/fifteen minutes, David has the dance down better than the others, much to your surprise. At his last spin, he swiftly pulls you in and kisses you quickly before you have the chance to react.
"I think..." he says softly. "... that I'd rather have you teach me to dance. Any day."
