We Will Always Find The Way / Thiam

Chapter 12

'Hey, before we start doing anything I want to know what's going on between you and Theo.' Was the first thing Mason said, when he walked into Liam's room. Mason knew that something was going on between these two. They always fight and argue, but Liam will always be the one saving Theo and Theo will be the one saving Liam. 

'What do you mean ?' Liam was confused. 

'Am I really that obvious ?' Liam thought to himself. The thing is - he was confused as well. Liam had no clue what's the matter with him lately. It was obvious that some things have changed, but why  ? He couldn't answer those questions himself, so he had no idea what to tell Mason.

'What's with you and Theo ? You guys act so weird around each other. We all have noticed that.' Mason repeated his question.

'Umm...I don't know... I don't even know how to explain.'  Liam was trying to tell Mason something, but nothing really came out.

'You feel good with him, don't you ?' Mason chuckled a little and looked at Liam. He was more than sure that something is going down between these two.

Liam had no idea on how to answer that question. If he thinks about it long enough, then yes, he liked his company, but good wasn't really the best way to describe the way he felt around Theo.

'No not really,' Liam was trying to find the right words, which was harder than he thought:' I actually hate the was he makes me feel. He makes me feel... so vulnerable and desperate.'Liam couldn't believe that he actually just said that. He said that out loud. He somehow felt relieved and a lot more relaxed after telling this to Mason, but he still couldn't believe himself.

Mason didn't say anything, he sat in silence and then turned to Liam. He was smiling. His smile looked so warm and welcoming.

'What ?' Liam was confused, but he caught himself smiling as well.

'Have you ever thought that you might be in love with him ?' Mason finally asked. He asked it so simply. Like it would be a no big deal.

People fall in love all the time.

'What ? No way, not with that asshole.' Liam tried to deny that, but deep inside he knew - Mason is right and he does have some sort of feelings towards him, but he could never admit it, not even to himself. He was always trying to get rid of all the thoughts that involved Theo. Liam would never let inside a thought that would make him question his feelings towards Theo.

'No, I'm pretty sure that you are.' Mason kept smiling and he was even found enjoying this conversation. He was even teasing Liam a little, he just knew that Liam has some feelings towards Theo.

'Why do you think that you know my feelings so well ?' Liam knew that Mason is right, but he still tried to deny that.

'I have been with Corey for a while and just trust me - I know how these things go. You have been pretty obvious as well.'

Liam didn't know what to say. He lost every word. He couldn't even talk properly. He knew - he has to admit it, he just didn't know how. If he would say 'Yes, I like him' or something close to these words, that would make it real. Until now he had been hiding his feelings from everyone, even from himself,  and saying it loud would just make it real and true, which Liam wasn't ready for. He wasn't quite ready to admit his feelings. He wasn't ready to make his deepest secrets real.
