Just What You Needed- (Ben Orr X reader)

-Chapter One-

"I don't mind you comin' here

And wastin' all my time

'Cause when you're standin', oh so near

I kinda lose my mind."

You sighed as she saw Ric walk into the school. You were beginning to like him more and more but you were already in a relationship with Benjamin Orr. Valley Forge High School is where it all started.

February 14th 1961, at 4:00 after school as You and Ben were studying for something caught your eye.

"Ben what is that?" You asked pointing to a drawing of a rose.

"It's a rose. I made it." Ben said.

"Did you make it for a special girl?" You asked.

"Yeah... I'm just worried to what she'll say." Ben said.

You looked down in disappointment because you kinda liked him. Then You said "Just give it to her and see her reaction."

Ben took the drawing and handed it to You. "[Y/N], will you be my valentine?"

You were shocked but You said yes. You couldn't resist. Ben had such a gorgeous smile.

Your memory quickly faded as a hand touched your shoulder.

"Babe, are you ready to go?" Ben asked.

"Ready as I'll ever be." You said grabbing his hand. You guys walked into school everyday even though you guys didn't have any classes together. Lunch was all you had to look forward too but you weren't alone.

As You sat in class you thought about tomorrow. It was Valentine's day all over again. Tomorrow night You'd be hanging out with "the Cars" again and watching them play. Benjamin was in a band along with your new eye candy Ric Ocasek.

You really were debating on whether or not you wanted to watch them perform tomorrow night. It's not that you didn't want to go. No, it was because of your little crush on Ric. You don't know why you were liking him you just were.

As You headed to lunch, You were walking with your earbuds in.

"You might have forgot

The journey ends

You tied your knots

You made your friends

You left the scene

Without a trace."

As You walked you felt really lonely. You wished Ben was there to walk with you. Once you got to the Cafeteria, you unpacked your lunch and waited for the bell to ring. Today Mom packed you a ham and cheese sandwich. For a drink was a YooHoo.

When the lunch bell finally rang You let a big sigh of relief. The boys were on their way. You sat with Ben, Ric and Elliot. The other two members of the band had a different lunch.
