Before going to sleep that night your mind flashed back to all that happened tonight. You had done it. You kissed Ric. It might have been wrong but it felt so right.

In the morning just before school your phone dinged. It was a text from Ben.

"Morning Babe."

You ignored it. You really didn't want to go to school today. When the bus came, you felt really sick to your stomach. You couldn't ignore Ben forever. You wish you could at least forget for a little while.

Once You got to school, You got off the bus with your earbuds in but you weren't listening to anything.

"Hey baby! Wait up!" Ben yelled running after you.

You stopped dead in your tracks because you loved him. Then You thought of him breaking up with you and you started walking again. You quickly walked into school and saw Ric. People were gathered around him getting his autograph.

"Hey Ric." You said as you walked by.

Hey there's a cool girl." Ric smiled at You. "Where are you going?"

"Mrs. Thompson's room." You say.

Mrs. Thompson was your homeroom teacher. You were going there early just to get away from Ben. You could not wait for lunch time because you were going to Mr. Davis's Office for lunch.

When lunch time approached you walked down to Mr. Davis's office and opened the door.

" Hey [Y/N], how are you? How was your Valentine's day?" Mr. Davis asked.

"Good." Was all you managed to say.

"How was the concert? I heard it was all the rave." Mr. Davis said.

You rolled your eyes in disgust. "It was fun until Ben broke up with me."

"Oh no! What happened?" Mr. Davis asked.

"After the concert last night I overheard a conversation between Ric and Ben. Ben was telling Ric that he might have to break up with me because they're going on tour I guess. I don't know." You say.

"So, how did you feel?" Mr. Davis said

"Hurt obviously. I ran into the bathroom crying last night. It felt like my whole world was broken. Ben got the boys to play Drive and he sang for me. Then he apologized." You say twirling your hair.

"Sounds like he truly meant it." Mr. Davis said.

"Yeah but then get this....I kissed Ric! Not in front of Ben though that would be messed up. My dream came true!"

 You exclaimed.

"But is that really what you want? It sounds like you want to ditch Ben and date Ric. It sounds like Ben made an honest mistake." Mr. Davis said.

"I like Ric and he likes me. He said so. As far as Ben goes I don't know. Maybe I'm ready to be done." You say.

"Are you really ready to let five years go?" Mr. Davis asked.

"No. I mean sure it hurts but again I DON'T KNOW." You were starting to get pissed.

"Okay calm down. Let's eat our lunch now." Mr. Davis said.

Once You were finished eating the lunch bell rang. You couldn't wait to see Ric come around the corner because you really loved him.

Minutes passed and he didn't come around the corner. So You went around the corner yourself and saw something that made you scream.

"Ric!" You exclaimed.

Ric was kissing another girl. You couldn't believe it. Your heart broke at the sight.

"I thought you-you loved me." You said. You were starting to shed tears.

"This isn't what it looks like." Ric said.

"It's exactly what it looks like!" You sobbed. "I can't believe I trusted you."

You ran right down the hall to classroom 310. That was the class Benjamin was in right now. You wanted to see him and apologize.

Once you got in the room, Ben smiled as he saw you. "[Y/N], are you okay?"

Your vision was cloudy from all the tears. As you approached where he was sitting Ben held his arms out for you.

"What's wrong Baby?" Ben said as he pulled you into a hug.

"I'm sorry. I don't want you to hate me. I didn't mean to ignore you today I was just mad. Please say that you love me." You sobbed.

"Ooh, Benny 11 letters has a girlfriend!" Some kid yelled out.

Ben looked at that kid in disgust but then turned back to you. "I love you. It was stupid of me to say what I did last night. I love you too much to break five years." Ben said.

You were still sobbing in his lap. The teacher wondered what the hell was going on but he didn't say anything.

Ben thought a moment then started singing to you despite the class that got interrupted.

"We got something to believe in

Even if we don't know where we stand

Only God would know the reasons

But I bet he must have had a plan

'Cause you were born to be my baby

And baby, I was made to be your man"

By now your tears had dried. You were smiling now. "Thank you." was all you could manage.

"You're welcome baby. You're welcome." Ben said as he stroked your hair.

The teacher could not believe what just happened. A true act of love. Nothing like this ever happened before.

At dismissal, You and Ben walked out of school holding hands. Mr. Davis was right, You weren't ready to throw away five years for a silly little crush.

Ric made eye contact with you and said he was sorry as you walked by him. You had to flash him a smile even though you didn't like him anymore. Mainly so Ben didn't find out.

On your bus ride home, you only played songs that Ben sang. You were lucky to have him. You almost threw it all away. The rest of the night you hated yourself for ever liking Ric.
