A couple of weeks later, [Y/N]'s memorial service took place. Her body was cremated.

"Ben, I'd like you to have these."

[Y/N]'s mom said.

She handed Ben [Y/N]'s ashes. Ben was speechless. Why was she doing this? That's her daughter!

"Why are you giving your daughter away?" Ben asked.

"Because, I would have given her away at her wedding." She said.

Ben was about to cry but stayed strong. He still couldn't believe it.

All the guys were wearing suits. Ric came up to [Y/N]'s mother and put a hand on her shoulder.

"I'm so sorry about the lost of your daughter. I know how tough losing someone is.. Thanks for inviting us to the service."

"Thank you Ric for the kind words." She said.

"You're welcome." Ric said.

She truly looked broken. Her eyes were so glassy. Her daughter had a full life ahead. When it was time to speak about her daughter she didn't want to do it because she would breakdown. But she had too.

"My daughter, was a free-spirited, bright young lady. This tragedy was all because of an eye doctors negligence. I hope this never happens to anyone else. Ben, thank you for making my daughter the happiest girl in the world. Your wedding would have been cute. The children would have been my world. Thanks to The Cars members Ric, Elliot, David and Greg for for showing up. I appreciate it."

Next, Ben spoke.

"If I would have never met [Y/N] I would have died alone. She was the best girlfriend and the only girlfriend I had. Just days ago,  she said Baby, we made it. She could see permanently and we were happy. I'd never thought I would one day wake up without her. It's the hardest thing I ever done. I miss her and I love her."

Next Ric spoke about her.

"[Y/N] was a piece of art you could never get back. She was funny, smart, reliable and trustworthy. On behalf of all us members of the Cars. [Y/N] rocks."

A few moments later,  Ben got the guys onstage to sing a song.

"We would like to dedicate a song to [Y/N] it's not one of our own. So please don't kill us if we mess up notes." Ben said.

Ben started off.

Would you know my name

If I saw you in heaven?

Would it be the same

If I saw you in heaven?

I must be strong and carry on

'Cause I know I don't belong here in heaven

Ric and Elliott sang on the next verse. The harmony between the two actually wasn't bad.

Would you hold my hand

If I saw you in heaven?

Would you help me stand

If I saw you in heaven?

I'll find my way through night and day

'Cause I know I just can't stay here in heaven

Greg took the next line as he wiped his tears away.

Time can bring you down, time can bend your knees

David was the last one to sing. His voice was hoarse from all the crying.

Time can break your heart, have you begging please

Ben wrapped up the song. Tears ran down his cheeks as he sang.

Beyond the door there's peace I'm sure

And I know there'll be no more tears in heaven

When they were done, everybody clapped. They enjoyed what the boys had done. The boys all had tears in their eyes. They loved and missed

[Y/N] so much.

When the service was over, Ric Greg, Elliot and David went over to [Y/N]'s picture and laid a rose next to it. Ben waited to everyone to leave then approached the picture.

"[Y/N] I miss you. I'll always love you. I hope wherever you are you're happy and at peace. God knows I'm not. For now I'm giving up playing music until my head gets straight. Thanks for everything girl. You're were just want I needed."

Ben walked away that day and gave up music forever. He focused on his health instead. He went to a counseling session every week to deal with the pain.
