Just What You Needed- (Ben Orr X reader)

-Chapter Six-

You woke up that morning and felt like absolute shit. It was Monday all over again. You didn't feel like dealing with school but you had to go.

One thing was different about this Monday though, Ben was sleeping by your side. At 5:00 your Mom yelled for you and Ben to get out of bed. She made you guys French Toast for breakfast. You couldn't be happier. This was your first breakfast with Ben on a school day.

At 6:30 the bus came but Ben could drive. You guys still took the bus though. On the bus a quite conversation between Ben and You played out.

"Ben, you don't know how hard it was to get out of bed today." You said. "The whole going blind thing is killing me."

"How many fingers am I holding up?" Ben asked while holding up three fingers.

"Three." You said.

"See, your not losing eyesight yet. Just stop worrying yourself to death hun." He said.

"I guess." You say turning to the bus window. As You saw your reflection in the window you thought. "I wish I wasn't so alone."

Once You and Ben got off the bus, Ben sprinted towards Ric, David, Elliott and Greg leaving you in the dust. You weren't mad just puzzled that's all.

Once school officially started, You went down to see Mr. Davis.

"Honey, he's not here right now but second block he'll be in." the Secretary said.

"Okay I'll come back." You said.

You had to sit through a grueling hour of Science before You got called down to Mr. Davis's office. When you got there, he greeted You.

"So [Y/N], you wanted to see me?" Mr Davis asked.

"Yes I did." You say.

"What's up? How's Ben and you?" Mr. Davis asked.

"Good. But that's not why I'm here." You said. "It's something more serious."

"What's wrong?" Mr. Davis asked.

"I'm going blind. Like, I won't be able to see much longer unless the laser eye surgery works." You said.

"I'm so sorry. How are you handling this diagnosis?" Mr Davis asked.
