Chapter 3: Staying in the Hat Home
The following weekend consisted of Aria and Hazel transforming me into my twin brother. It started off when Aria told me to standing the middle of the room, while she studies me for what to do to transform. Standing there awkwardly was worse than looking at boys in a wiki page: and you think it was crazy? Aria had Hazel list things onto her laptop as I impatiently stood there: only a bra and my underwear.
“Guy’s...” I groaned. “I feel so ‘exposed’. Can I at least where a top...”
“Sssshhh!” Aria interrupted me and I just glared at her as she whispered sayings to Hazel. “Okay... I’m done.” Gladly, I sighed and went to put on my Frozen t-shirt and jeans. While I did this, Aria went to explaining some of my ‘faults’ for a being boy.
“Firstly,” She started. “The hair: long and a bit darker than Marcus’” I sat down on the sofa while she walked back and forth in front of me.
Raising an eyebrow, I replied: “I’m not cutting my hair Ari.”
“I’m not finish.” Aria spoke, “Hazel can do that job: her aunt sells wigs. Maybe she can make one that looks like Marcus’” I could not bear to laugh inside me as Hazel scowled at Aria. We then carried on about my figures.
“You’re slim, like Marcus; and you’re uh...” She pointed at my chest awkwardly and I glared at her and a laughing Hazel. “Thing is small. I know what to do with that.” Slapping her hand out of the way, the whole morning we went round town for me to get transformed.
We started off by entering Hazel’s Aunt’s Unisex Salon. Her aunt was quite nice actually... by nice I mean she gave us no charge with the wig and the instructions on how to put it on. My hair was quite long and a darker shade of brown, unlike Marcus who had a hazel colour and was cut in a little quiff. Excluding the hair and breasts,(A/N: EWW! I hate writing that in my stories! XS) I was technically a look-a-like to Marcus. One of the only things I had to change – and hate – was wearing glasses. Hazel told me that I had to wear contacts instead of my own cool (my definition of my glasses) glasses.
“No, I’m not wearing contacts.” I shook my head as the two dragged me to Spectsavers to buy contacts.
Aria explained, “You need to. It’s better than buying expensive glasses that isn’t a girly style of hipster glasses.” I moaned at them. “Please, you can still wear them... just not in public.”
“How can that solve the problem that I still have to wear contacts?!” I shouted as we entered the store. Hazel went to the front desk for the contacts as Aria and I walked over to the waiting room. I sat and sulked like a child without sweets as Hazel went back to us with an eye doctor following behind her. The woman called my name and I was escorted to a separate room. After a boring explanation of the contacts, I exited the room with seeing just a blur. The contacts were still uncomfortable to wear, but after a few blinks: everything was clearer than usual. Aria and Hazel went up to me, complimenting how I looked different without my glasses.
“You look really awesome with those!” Hazel squealed and I covered my ears.
“Jeez, it’s not like I had a face lift or anything.” I replied and the three went out and bought men clothing in Superdry. It was rather awkward actually. The staff would look at us weirdly since I was trying men’s clothing wear. We ignored them and finished our haul. I was almost ready to be Marcus.
---
“One more thing that’s critical,” Hazel said as I stood in front of my best friends. I was wearing a blue Superdry top, some slim; baggy jeans, black converse with neon laces and a red hoodie. My hair had been hidden by a bald cap; and over the bald cap was the wig Hazel’s aunt made: which looked exactly like Marcus’. Aria had the idea of wrapping bandages around my upper chest, which made it my figure slimmer. I learnt how to walk like a boy; number one rule was not to sway your hips. Basically: they were awesome at transforming someone’s gender.
