August is looking out of the window at Jackson and Isabelle playing with Carter, who is attempting to chew on a blue plastic Easter egg. "There you are!" August turns around to face Sydney exposing her concerned facial expression. "Auggie?" Sydney looks down with August at her hands that hold a white stick. August can't feel her body as she stands looking at the little pink plus sign.
Sydney quickly closes the front door. "Don't panic." She moves across the room to August. "This is good. This is great actually!" August sees the excitement in Sydney's eyes as she pulls her in for a hug.
"What? No, it isn't. This is terrible." August remains motionless.
"No. This will change everything. Jackson will dump that Jezebel chic and come back to you." Sydney takes the pregnancy test form August inspecting the results full of excitement.
"Isabelle." August corrects her.
Sydney ignores her correction of Isabelle's name. "I mean just look at her." They both turn to look out of the window at Isabelle, who is now surrounded by all the men that seem to be under a spell by her presence. "She is like some kind of glowing sports goddess. Ugh." Sydney looks at her in disgust. "She is perfect. I hate her."
"I know right." They both stand shaking their heads in the window as all the men laugh at whatever Isabelle has just said.
"So, when are you going to tell him?"
"I don't want to win him back that way." August turns and takes the pregnancy test from Sydney and begins to shake it.
"It isn't a thermometer. That positive isn't going anywhere." August feels panicked and places her pregnancy test down on the shelf next to the window. "I think he will notice you're pregnant this time since you see him every day."
"I just need to find the right time. Maybe I will wait until I get it confirmed at the doctors before I tell him."
"Fine." Sydney sounds disappointed and looks back out of the window at Isabelle rolling her eyes. "We should get back out there before they start missing us."
"I don't think any of them would actually miss me. They hate me for keeping Carter a secret."
"Don't be like that Augs. They all love you."
"What am I going to do about Cade?" August looks sick as she walks with Sydney to the door.
"You could screw him tonight and act like it is his." Sydney sounds proud of her idea.
"Oh my gosh." August laughs at Sydney's horrible suggestion hoping she is joking.
"He is a doctor." Sydney opens the door for August as she sings the words flexing her eyebrows multiple times.
"Don't tell anyone please?" August looks at her sternly as she exits her house.
"Of course not." Sydney sounds offended. August cuts her eyes over to Tommy who is standing next to Isabelle obviously flirting with her before looking back at Sydney. "I said I wouldn't."
"Wouldn't what?" Jackson's voice surprises August and Sydney as they turn the corner of the small house. Jackson is holding Carter in his arms.
"Yeah August?" Sydney smiles at her widely. "Wouldn't what?"
August tries to avoid the subject as she looks at Carter. "Hey buddy. Are you having fun?"
"He seems a little fussy so I was going to change his diaper." Jackson begins to walk past August to go into her house.
August suddenly remembers she left the pregnancy test laying out in plain sight. "No!" She surprises herself with her loudness. "I got it. You will have him all afternoon. I got this one, go spend time with Isabelle." She smiles trying to be normal as she takes Carter from him.
