Beca's Choice

Unlikely Friend

Beca finally left the classroom, a few minutes before the bell was to ring, so she could get to class without bumping into anyone she was hoping to avoid. But of course, she bumps into the one person she wanted to avoid. Jesse. "Ah shit" the words rolled out of her mouth before she could catch them. Jesse folded his arms and raised his eyebrow at Beca, who did the same thing. "What's up Beca" he asks slowly, Beca shaking her head at Jesse. "I mean nothing. You just helped humiliate me infront of the school. What do I have to be mad about?" Beca says rather sarcastically. Jesse bites his bottom lip and closes his eyes, as if he was stopping himself from flipping at Beca. "Last time Chloe did something like that, you had a very different reaction" He said. Beca shrugged and stepped back. "Well that was different" she says as she starts to walk away. "How?" He shouts at her, causing her to turn around but still walking away, just backwards. "None of your buisiness, Swanson. Now fuck off back to your girlfriend" she yells back before wondering down the hall. Jesse watched her go and scoffs, shaking his head in disbelief in Beca's actions. "Did you get anything from her?" Aubrey asks as she approaches is behind him, rubbing both his arms before planting a quick kiss on his cheek. Jesse sighs and shakes his head. "Whatever she's doing, she really wants us to hate her" Jesse observes. Aubrey sighs and nods as she spins around so she was facing Jesse. "You are a loyal friend, Babe. I'm sure you'll figure it out" she tells as she takes his hand and the two head off to class.

Beca found herself outside her Biology class. The class she shared with Chloe, and sat next to her. Fuck. Beca took one look at the door then spun around, and was met by Jenna. If it was any other time, she probably would of hated the interaction, although she knew it wasn't Jenna's fault at all what had happened. But right now, Jenna is someone she wasn't trying to push away. "So... is this awkward?" Jenna asks catiously. Beca lets out a small chuckle and shakes her head. "No. You are actually someone I'm not trying to avoid" she comments, her eyes drifting to the floor. Jenna looks at the small brunette puzzled, then noticed she was walking away from Biology, not into it. "So you were going to skip class?" Jenna asked with her eyebrow raised, Beca looked back up and nodded. "That a problem?" She asked rather defensively. Jenna ponders on her thoughts for a second before throwing a smirk towards Beca. "No. Actually, if you need to company, I could always skip aswell.  I'm acing Chemistry so one class isn't the end of the world" Jenna shrugs, but Beca knew that Jenna was just trying to be nice and friendly, and in all honestly Beca wouldn't mind the company. "I mean, if you want to i guess" she plays off, by looking at the floor, but her eyes flickering from the floor to Jenna gave away that she did want her too. Jenna nods and smiles. "Come on then, let's go" Jenna says as she starts walking off, a large smile forming on Beca's face as she followed shortly behind.

The two walk over to Jenna's car and slide in, her car roaring to life as she turns the ignition. "Compensating for something?" Beca joked, and Jenna sighs and nods. "Yeah... I got a small dick" she says, acting embarrassed. The reply caused Beca to choke on her own breath before bursting out with laughter. "Okay, points to you. That was pretty good" Beca tells Jenna as she reverses out of her car space before zooming out of the school car park, pulling onto the road. "So, why are you avoiding Chloe?" Jenna asks, Beca side glances Jenna, who catches it and rolls her eyes. "Come on. We're skipping school because of it." She pushes. Beca sighs and rubs her forehead. "Its stupid" she responds, shaming her head. Jenna rolled her eyes again before yanking her steering wheel to the side, pulling them up. "No. Not the right answer." Jenna says, now finally turned to Beca fully. Beca groans loudly before turning to face Jenna. "So. I have two choices. Go to one of the best Universities in the country and study Neurobiology. Or... I stay in Barden with Chloe and everyone else. And i guess, pushing them away just makes it easier, they'll hate me  so nothing holds me back to here" Beca explains. Jenna doesnt speak for a few seconds, as her mind goes over it all quickly. "That... actually makes some sort of sense" she admitted. "Yeah. I said no to Chloe's Prom proposal, Accused Emily of wanting to sleep with me, and Jesse to fuck off back to Aubrey" Beca told Jenna, to which she furrows her eyebrows at the last one. "Your Jesse one was pretty weak" she observes, Beca throws her hands in the air and shrugs.  "I have nothing on him! It was the best I could come up with".  The two look at each other for a few moments before bursting into laughter. "Swanson really is a saint" Jenna observes, and a fond smile forms on Beca's lips as her eyes focus on her fingers, tapping against her leg. Jenna sighs as she reaches and places her hand over Beca's. "Look. I understand the why, I honestly do. But you are going to make your last few months hell here, like prom. You don't deserve that" Jenna comforts  Beca, who turns to the black haired girl with a strained smile. "It's probably too late" Beca points out. A fact Jenna couldn't exactly disagree with. "Look. If they push you away, I'm always here. The unlikley friend" Jenna says with a wink, a big laugh coming from Beca as she nods. "Strangely glad you tried to kiss my girlfriend" Beca comments, and this time it was Jenna who laughed. "Unlikely friends is definitely the phrase for us" Beca adds.

The two came back to school an hour later, and no one seemed to stop them as they entered the school, but Chloe, Emily, Jesse and Aubrey saw Beca come back into school, with a smile on her face as she was chatting away with Jenna. "I thought Beca hated her?" Jesse points at them with narrowed confused eyes. Chloe felt her jealously flare up at the sight of them. She thinks this is how Beca must of felt with Jenna, and see's where the confrontational attitude from Beca came from. But she honestly didn't know what to do. With the rejection for prom, and then skipping class. Which she assumed was to avoid herself, she had no idea how to approach the situation. "One of us should go... oh there Aubrey goes" Jesse trails off as Aubrey brushes past him and towards Beca. "Kid's, close your eye's. This won't be pretty" Jesse says lightheartedly, but he knew that Aubrey was going to take no shit from Beca.

"Beca! What the hell is wrong with you!" Aubrey calls as she approaches. Beca stiffens up at the voice before turning around, and to her surprise Jenna had already intervened. "Don't even try it" Jenna says defensively, Beca's face drops in surprise to see Jenna defend her. "Seriously? Your friends with the person who nearly messed you and Chloe up? How sick in the head are you!" She hisses at Beca. behind her Chloe, Emily and Jesse eyes shoot open in shock. "Oh fuck" Jesse lets out as he watches it all unfold. But Jenna squares up to Aubrey, getting right in her face. "Posen, I suggest you back the fuck off from things you don't understand. IF you did know, then you wouldn't be so harsh on Beca." Jenna replies, her arms now folded as her eyes were locked with Aubreys, not backing down. "Fine." Aubrey lets out as she steps back, but her eyes then lock with Beca's. "You best keep away from my friends, you've hurt them enough" Aubrey warns Beca, who lools over at the other three with an eyebrow raised. "Is that how you feel?" She asks Emily, Chloe and Jesse who all seem to have taken a sudden interest with the floor. Beca scoffs as she fights back her tears, nodding as she steos back. "Awesome. Just fucking awesome." Beca says as she storms off down the halls. Jenna turns back to the group, her eyes like daggers. "I cannot beleive you!" She hisses before running after Beca. Everyone slowly turns to Chloe whose eyes were still focused on the ground. "Guess I'm single again" is all she said before she walked off to class.

Could this be the end of Bechloe as we know it? But atleast she has Jenna, and you all thought i forgot about her!... which i did, but lets not focus on the past. Anyway I hope you enjoy :)
