Chloe and Beca had finally admitted their feelings to each other as they sat on the edge of Chloe's bed, hands linked together. Chloe bit her lip in thought. "Do you want to be public with us?" She asked Beca, who pulls her head away and looks at Chloe. "I would like to be, but I know you may not want to be publicly out yet, so it's up to you. I won't pressure you into it." she says. that was one of the good things about Emily, she had to admit. she was open with her relationship with Beca. but with people like Clary, Beca couldn't blame Chloe for her fear. Chloe looks at the brunette apologetically. "I... just...." she mutters before taking a deep breath to compose herself. Beca squeezes Chloe's hand with a slight smile. "You don't have to explain yourself. It's your choice, i cannot force you to come out just for me" Beca says. Chloe smiles at Beca, before leaning in with a soft, quick kiss.
Beca left and headed down the street, smiling to herself as she walked down the street. it all felt right now. with Emily, it felt good but not quite right. but her and Chloe clicked. Something about Chloe. She pulls out her phone, already receiving a text from Chloe.
Chloe:
You left your jacket... mine now ;)
Beca smiles at the text, feeling a warm sensation flood her veins, a soft beautiful heat, which replaced what the jacket would of provided. She still felt bad for Emily however, she felt like she took a large bow from this. Beca sighs to herself, she had to talk it through with her. She pulls out her phone and texts her to meet, and she receives a text within a minute, agreeing. Beca composes herself before switching her route and heads for the small park nearby.
Beca arrives at the park . it was a beautiful evening in autumn. the leaves were a beautiful burnt orange, some on the tree's naked branches, or in a large pile on the floor like a painting of fire, the colour was perfect but nothing moved. The path was tarmaced, smooth under Beca's feet. the grass was a beautiful dark green, the air had a cool breeze to it, one that felt nice on the skin, the sun was low set right now, hanging just above a tree, glistening slightly. Beca looks ahead, and on the bench Sat Emily. she looked good, her high waisted black jeans with a multi-coloured t-shirt, spiralling to the center with a red leather jacket above it. She smiles at Emily, who smiles back, but much weaker. Beca curses herself, she knew full well how hard this was on her. She opens her arms awkwardly to Emily, who steps into the arms, accepting the hug. "How you doing?" Beca asks Sincerely, both of them sit side-by-side on the bench, their knee's touching as they faced each other. "Shit" She says honestly, the two look at each other and laugh, some of the awkwardness strips away, like ripping a page from a book. Emily brushes her hair that had fallen back behind her ear. "You talk to Chloe?" Emily asks. Beca avoids Emily's eyes as she nods, not wanting to see her look, knowing she didn't like the answer. Emily did feel a tang of disappointment, she had to admit a selfish part of her wanted Beca not to go after Chloe and come back to her, but deep down she knew that's not how it should be. She adjusts herself, putting on a smile. "That's... good to hear, I'm glad you are happy" Emily says, reaching out and taking Beca's hand and squeezes it. "Thank you, Em. I am still sorry for what I've done to you. I wish i hadn't done that to you" Beca says to her, Emily smiles as she pulls out her phone with her free hand. "Hey, i gotta run. Amy came back from Australia earlier and i told her I'd see her once she got back" Emily says, getting up. Beca smiles and gets up with her, pulling the tall Brunette into a hug before going their separate ways.
Chloe found herself hugging Beca's jacket that was wrapped around her, the sweet smell of Vanilla and Caramel danced around her nostrils, causing a wide smile to spread across her face. It was soft against her skin, providing her with warmth and a sense of protection, like a shield. The dark red cotton jacket hadn't left her back since Beca left, over an hour ago. She had a copy of the song in front of her, Beca had asked her to come up with some idea's of the rest of the song, her mind racing over different song lyrics. it was slow, impactful. Chloe did love singing the song with Beca, it just felt right, especially with the song they have been working on. She was trying to find a cover to sing over Human, thinking it would work better if they get through, using a much more fun song instead would be better. She finds herself going through a variety of songs, writing down some possibilities. She narrows it down to two. Counting Stars or Locked out of Heaven. She tapped her pen against left cheek as she looks at the words, like one of them was going to disappear, taking the choice away from her. She groans and pulls out her phone.
Chloe:
I think we should change Human for our cover song, save it for when we get through.Beca:
Someone's confident ;) but it's a good idea. What replacements you got?Chloe:
Counting Stars by One Republic or Locked out of Heaven by Bruno Mars.Beca:
Counting Stars has my voteChloe sighs with relief, happy she had the choice mostly taken out of her hands. She finally drew a line through Locked out of Heaven and places the pencil down on the notepad, cheering to herself slightly with her arms in the air. Chloe looks over at her clock as she yawns, reading 11pm. She closes down her laptop and pushes it slightly more onto the desk as she pushes herself up and goes to get ready for bed. Chloe climbs into bed, wearing some pyjama shorts and Beca's jacket, still hugging it around her body as she collapses into bed for a few minutes before shrugging it off and placing it on her desk chair next to her bed. She places her head onto her pillow, almost sinking into it fully. She smiles to herself as she drifts off to sleep, her mind sketching every detail of Beca, bringing her a warm calmness that sent her asleep.
This Chapter is very short, I apologise! lil bit of writers block when i wrote this, but enjoy!
