"Thank God you're still alive," Yui pulled the blankets off my bed. "We still have a lot of leftovers from La Baguette Magique!"
Yawn. "Thanks, mom."
As I went to heat up the remaining pasta, Yui described the aftermath of Adam's last resort. Alessa almost called an ambulance, but Yuki stopped her (wow), so her manager drove us all back to school. "People chanted for a refund," Yui rolled her eyes back. "And because of the riots, we were stuck in the garage for an hour!"
"Sorry," I frowned. "It's my fault. If I stopped Adam, I would've had strength left..."
"Himeko, we're basically family! Cheer up!" Her grin quickly dipped into a frown. "And even though he saved the day, Adam's still a jerk!"
"Speaking of the Student Council, is Alessa an obstacle in Feng Li's route?"
Yui leaned back in her seat, and it let out a little creak. "They looked like siblings, super annoyed at each other."
I pulled out my phone to look up reverse harem traits. Lo and behold, the first website featured "the glasses guy." Just like Feng, this trope was intellectual, reserved, and aloof. If there's anything to shake his down-to-earth mind, it's outside factors, like family circumstances. Hmm.
"I'll keep an eye out for Aila and Alessa," Yui said. "Don't worry about it at all, I'll do my best!" I turned away and nodded. Why was I so pathetic? She did everything for me - yet, I never paid her back.

Two hours after waking up, I headed to my homeroom. Tomorrow was Aura Academy's culture festival - my class snagged the maid and butler café slot. Most of us wanted to cook (and not interact with people), but our class rep Misaki Takahashi wouldn't have it - so here I was, with ten other unwilling participants, trying on maid uniforms.
"It's too tight!" one of the girls groaned. "Do you have anything larger?" Misaki stomped towards a box and tossed her another one.
"Hey ladies," Paris strolled in. "Everything fine?"
Oh, right - Aura Academy lets Student Council designate their own jobs. With the rise in Dark Spirits, Adam leads the Defense Against Dispiriting student committee. I wouldn't be surprised if they planned to patrol this event. Paris made himself in charge of running student activities, like field trips and festivals. That left Feng with club budgeting duties and...whatever else he does. As the Treasurer, Elodie got the easiest jobs: helping out Feng every once in a while, and making scrapbooks. That's right - Aura Academy's had this tradition of documenting the Student Council in them for decades.
"You can't just walk into a changing room," Class Rep barked like a policewoman. "Paris, for the love of God, be more observant next time!"
"But you're only putting on aprons! Why can't you all change in the restrooms down the hall?!"
"Why don't you say your point already?"
Blinking in disbelief, Paris leaned against the door. "Alright. Anyway, do you have tomorrow's schedule for your entire roster?"
"Why? Do you need someone in particular?"
He sighed. "No, I need a sample so we can figure out routes for tomorrow."
Class Rep rolled her eyes and shoved a clipboard up his chest. "Put it on a desk when you're done."
I noticed Paris looking around, and when he locked eyes with me, he grinned like a devil, snapped a photo of the clipboard, and left.
