"No, that doesn't sound right.." I said to myself. I was sitting cross-legged on the floor of one of the dancing rooms in jypE. The guys told me the room was to be empty today, since everyone had schedules today, and since today was my last day of suspension I decided to come. So here I was, with my keyboard next to me and a notebook full of crossed words and lots of doodles.

I sighed. I had no idea what I could write about! The monotone room started feeling suffocating, sp I led myself out, taking my stuff with me. I remembered one time the guys were talking about the nice rooftop, so without much thinking, my feet led me to the elevator, and up I went! 

I found myself laying down on a huge pallet that worked perfectly as a couch, my mini keyboard, and notebook being my dear company.

As I laid there, a soft breeze blowing my hair as the all too familiar city background noise filled my ears, my mind drifted to the events that had occurred in the span of a month; I now had friends, both inside and outside of school, my reflection didn't seem as hideous as I had always seen it as, and lastly, I was starting to love the life I was living-surrounded of people who loved me and I loved back. I even started thinking of the numerous times Jackson and I had hung out, we were always ditching everyone to spend time together, it was the one thing I was grateful for the most.

A smile played on my lips as memories started flying by, of me and the guys laughing, pranking each other, and just, enjoying ourselves. Everything has changed since I met them... it was like they made me shine when I had always been just a dull light at the far back.

I got it!

I sat up, placing my hands on the keys, playing through the first notes repeatedly

'You are my starlight, you shine on my heart'

Came out of my lips after a few minutes of humming. I had heard this word from Jackson before, and it always caught my attention how beautiful it sounded.

'When we're together it feels like I'm dreaming all day'

I smiled as I set the melody on repeat, also adding a few effects to it; I stood up and started swaying my feet to the beat, doing as Yugyeom had suggested and was letting myself get carried away by the music.

'You are my starlight, you make me really happy'

I started dancing the parts Jinyoung and Yugyeom had helped us choreograph.

'It's like a gift, your love'

It sounded perfect! I took a moment to write it down, and just like that I had the chorus, it definitely sounded like a chorus. So I kept dancing and swaying to the choreography the guys had helped us with. And just like that, the lyrics started flowing, the words were hugging the melody perfectly, just as if the melody had been created to be accompanied by those words, it felt like missing pieces of a puzzle colliding.

and just like that, the song was completed! with words that poured from the bottom of my heart so I once again laid on the comfy bench, closing my eyes for a brief moment...

"Who will wake her up?"
"Not me!"
"What?! Why is it always me waking people up" I heard a groan. I could recognize the voice of the guys right away, but I was actually curious as to how they were planning in waking me up.

"S-Sunny..."
"Sunny, wake up!"
"Sunny! There's free ice cream on the street!" Were BamBam's numerous attempts in waking me up, but I decided to remain 'asleep'

"Okay, I give up" he sighed
"Jackson should just kiss her, I'm sure she'll wake up then"
"What?!" I sat up, my cheeks burning hot
"I knew it!" BamBam laughed, Jackson was already chasing him around the rooftop, ready to punch the life out of BamBam. The rest of the guys were laughing at the top of their lungs at my expression and at Jackson's reaction

I huffed loudly as I stood up, hitting JB's arm since he wouldn't stop laughing, same I did with Mark and Youngjae, Aka the only ones here.

"Hey!" The three of them said in unison
"You should respect your elders! Hitting them is not how you respect them"
"Respect requires respect, Jaebum-ah" I stuck my tongue out at him, making Youngjae and Mark laugh once again, while JB had a shocked expression on his face, to which I just laughed away. He shook his head in disbelief, soon letting the moment fall behind.

"So you have the song already?"
"Yup"
"What did you write it about?"
"About you guys" I smiled brightly at them, who were sitting down with me on the pallet  
"Awe, sing it for us!"
"Nah, you'll listen to it when Baby and I perform it"
"That's not fair! Plus we could help you guys improve" BamBam said, leaning his back on Jackson's chest.

"Sure, but you guys are attending the show.. might as well let it be a surprise for you! I already told you enough" I said with a proud smirk, followed by a round of 'boo's' from the guys that were sitting next to me. I laughed them off, dismissing their complaints, and soon I changed the topic.

Honestly now, who would've guessed I was the same girl? Because I wouldn't..  whatś more, I don't even think I changed... I just bloomed and everything thanks to this goofballs that were sitting around me.

They were really my starlight.
