Chapter 6 ~ Christmas

Maka sighed as she plopped down on her bed.

Why must other teenage girls be so confusing?! Well, Liz is still a teenage girl, with the age of 18... And so is Tsubaki.

Maka shook her head, nothing to worry about now.

Actually, everything to worry about. "WHY DID I TELL HER I LIKED BLACK STAR?!" Maka screamed into her pillow. 'That was probably my worst idea ever...' Maka had a giant ball of sweat going down the side of her head. She screamed some more as she kicked her feet up and then slammed them back on the bed.

She heard the door open and then a voice. "Um, Maka? You okay?" The voice asked.

Maka knew that voice.

She quickly sat back up and smiled innocently, the sweat drop even larger now.

"I-I'm fine, Soul! No need to worry!" She chuckled nervously. He furrowed his eyebrows and looked at her with the most unamused face. "Okay, weirdo..." He said before leaving her room.

She sighed and fell back onto her bed.

'I don't get it... Why didn't this happen earlier? Before I caught Soul day-dreaming over a girl? A girl that I still can't figure out who the hell it is.' She thought. 'But, then again, I couldn't say Kid. Because, she's Kid's weapon. And, (Y/N), my best friend, has the biggest crush on Kid. And, they kinda sorta already have a relationship going. I couldn't say Chris either, but Black Star makes no sense. She probably knew I was lying. I hope she understands. But-'

'Rocks' by Imagine Griffins started playing, the ringtone (Y/N) made for Maka.

Maka jumped up, her hand on her chest. 'Falling down, let the forest hear our sound...' Maka smiled then sang along as she picked up the phone.

"Hellow~" (Y/N)'a voice came from the other side. "Hey, (y/n)." Maka smiled. "Don't you just love my ringtone?" You asked. "Yeah, very catchy." Maka chuckled, laying back on her bed. "What'cha doing?"

"Oh nothing, just laying down." Maka shrugged. "Ah, I'm doing the same. Kinda, I'm in the park with Kid." Maka frowned. "Oh? Really?" Maka smirked. "Yeah, I'm laying in the grass as he is freaking out about something being asymmetrical."

"You know, the usual." Maka chuckled. "So, how did Liz and you handle clothes shopping?" You changed the subject. Maka shrugged. "It was okay."

Maka had the giant urge to tell you about the whole Chris secret.

"We started talking about guys." Maka sighed. "Did you know she likes Chris?" Maka turned over on her stomach. "Wow! Really? I didn't know anyone could like him."

What a hypocrite, was your opinion on yourself. "Yeah, and... She asked who I liked." Maka's face started to turn pink. "Oh yeah? Kid! Hey! Leave that kid alone!"
