Disclaimer: I own nothing of Soul Eater, because if I did, Kid would be shirtless in many episodes :D

Chapter 4 - The Date

Kid thought that the only way that could ruin this very moment was if Excalibur came out of the bushes and started singing the very annoying song.

But, that was near to impossible.

So, he did his absolute best to enjoy this little piece of time he had. No symmetry, no Kishin's, just him and (y/n).

"I mean, no matter how many times I dye it, the damn stripes just keep coming back." He said with a huff. You giggled and touched the little piece of white in his hair. "I like them, just proves to me you aren't perfect." You chortled and he laughed sarcastically. "Thanks."

Tonight was going to be perfect. He had been planning and booking for this night.

It was his first date.

He wondered how many dates you had. He didn't want to ask without sounding strange or nosey, he just wanted to see how many guys didn't make the list.

"How's your dad doing?" You asked with a raise of an eyebrow. He shrugged. "He's okay, I guess. I haven't talked to him in a week or so..." He scratched the skin behind his ear.

"Eh?! How can you not talk to your father for a whole week?!" You exclaimed, and he chuckled. "Well, he doesn't live in the manor, and we're both busy during school hours." He said, his index and middle finger pressed against the back of his ear as he looked at you slightly. It moved to the back of his neck. "It's not like we talk like strangers. He's my father. I know that."

You signed. "Jeesh, Kid. Here I thought the two of you would be super close." You said and crossed your arms. "You should know that even the richest, most successful families can be broken."

He has a point... I know that already.

"P-Push harder!"

"Unf!"

"Push!"
"Harder! P-Please!"

From what pedestrians could hear, it didn't sound good. But in reality...

"Why is this DOOR SO FREAKING HEAVY?!" Chris shouted. "S-Shut up! They'll hear us!" Maka shouted, trying to push the door open as well.

They were trying to get in through the back of restaurant. The Kishin was nowhere to be seen, so they needed to keep their eye on Kid and (y/n) as much as possible. So, they decided to sneak in through the back, maybe it worked in movies and TV shows, but it reality, it wasn't what they expected. The door was undoubtedly locked, and they have been trying to bust it open for 30 minutes.

Until, finally, the door clicked and opened. A man with bright blonde hair was peeking through; he had a sharp jawline and squinty eyes.

"Uhm... Hi?" He said with a confused look. "Hello!" Maka said after she stood straight and straightened her shirt, gleaming with a smile on her face. "'Sup?" Said Chris with false 'coolness' as he stuck his hands in his pants in his pockets and looked to the right slightly.

"What are you doing out here?" The man asked. "Well, um..." Maka stuttered. "W-We work here! We have been recruited by Manager-sama to work here, for the week! He, um, is letting us work, for the week because we showed great potential in one of his out of town restaurants." She said. Chris smirked. "Smooth." He mumbled.

"Well, that's really cool." The man leaned against the doorframe of the... door. "I know, right?" Maka chuckles nervously.

"Really cool, because I'm the manager."
