17- Rewards

Waking up the morning after Nova chose me, felt amazing. I still couldn't believe it.

She chose me.

My attention is drawn to the direction of the door when I hear music playing. Glancing over to the other side of the bed, I notice Nova isn't there.

I hastily get up and throw on a t shirt before heading downstairs. I follow the sound of the music accompanied by the sound of giggling, until I get into the kitchen. 

Hallie is sitting on the counter stirring something in a bowl, and Nova is at the stove cooking bacon.

I take my time to drink her in. The way her curly brown hair was piled on top of her head, and her tan smooth legs. The shorts she was wearing were hugging her hips and butt making it very hard to keep my hands to myself. She was moving her hips and dancing to the sound of Kane Brown's Lose It.

Hallie notices me and jumps off the counter.

"Pencer!"

"Hey sweetie! Did you sleep good?" I ask picking her up.

Hallie nods her head.

"What are you two girls up to?"

Nova turns around and smiles at me with a blush on her cheeks.

"Mommy said we should cook you breakfast as a reward"

I quirk an eyebrow and turn my attention to Nova.

"A reward?"

Nova winks at me.

"Really?"

Hallie pokes my cheek as the timer for the waffle maker goes off.

"What are you doing silly girl?" Nova asks her.

"Nothing" She says with an innocent look on her face.

Then she pokes my cheek again.

"Hallie, personal space remember?"

"It's fine Nova, if she pokes me against I'm going to bite her little finger off"

Hallie reaches out to poke me again and I turn my head and bare my teeth.

Hallie squeals, and giggles.

I put her down and focus back on Nova.

"So."

"So." She responds

I lean in and whisper in her ear.

"You look beautiful today"

I pull back and rest my hip on the counter.

Her cheeks become red and she ducks her head.

She glances at Hallie who had moved into the living room to play with her barbies, before turning her attention back to me.

"I'm going to tell her today. About us."

A smile spreads across my face.

"Really?"

"Yeah, I mean if we're getting serious then I think she should know. And I don't want to wait anymore."

I lean in and quickly kiss the top of her nose.

I wanted to do so much more than kiss her nose, but right now I was going to take what I could get.

"Do you want to be there? When I talk to her?" She asks me

"Would it be easier if I wasn't? That way she can tell you how she really feels?"

Nova chuckles
