Harry Potter : Years 1-7 Pt 1

CHAPTER 3: DIAGON ALLEY AND OLIVANDERS

*Starting off just before Caitlin bumps into Harry*

Harry's Prov

After Hagrid and I walk through Diagon Alley as he's showing me places we arrive at a large whir building 'I guess this is the bank Hagrid mentioned'. We step inside and begin to walk down to the front I can't help but look around me and in doing so I feel myself/someone crash into me sending us both down to the floor. I turn my head around to see that the person that was knocked over was a girl. I quickly get up and dust myself off being stepping over to her "I'm sorry. Are you ok?" I ask holding my hand out to the girl and what I see before me catches my breath.

She was beautiful, she looks about my age, she has light fair skin, dazzling hazel eyes and wow her long crimson red colored hair is just so unique and not to mention beautiful. "Oh no I'm the one who should be sorry. I was going and accidentally bumped into you" she says taking a hold of my outstretched hand as I help her up wow her hands are really soft wait what.

 "It's ok, I was taking in the scenery myself" I said giving her a reassuring smile "By the way I'm Harry, Harry Potter" "Oh I'm Caitlin, Caitlin Reynolds" she says as we shake hands 'wow she has a really nice name, suits her too' "Is it your first time to Hogwarts? I ask trying to keep the convocation going "Yea it is. What about you?" "yea it is, I'm a little nervous to be honest" I reply sheepishly as I didn't even know this place existed until today"Yea don't worry, I'm a little nervous as well' I smile at her as she gives me one back.    
We seem to be staring at each other's eyes but get's broken off when we hear a loud voice coming from behind me "Oh sorry about, Hagrid" once he reaches me he seems to notice Caitlin "Hello there Rubeus Hagrid, keeper of keys and grounds at Hogwarts. Nice to meet ya" he says as he sticks a hand out to her "Hello I'm Caitlin. It's nice to meet you too" she says shaking his hand back. He seems to be staring at Caitlin and I think he finally notices to "Sorry don't mean to stare but..uh..is your last name Reynolds by any chance?" "Yeah it sure is. Why?" she ask curiously I look up at him and he almost look close to tears as he gives her a warm smile or is that just my imagination.

"Well of course you're a Reynolds, how could you not be. My look at you so grown up and you has the same colored hair and beauty just like your mother did and you definitely have your dad's mischievous eyes" "You knew my parents and..me?" she asks "Yes although I haven't seen you since you were a baby and of course I knew your parents shame what happened to them, 2 of the greatest people you'll ever meet, well aside from Lily and James Potter of course" he says patting me on the shoulder.

'Shame what happened to them?' Did she lose her parents as well, well Hagrid must definitely know them since he said the last time he saw her was just a baby just like me, he said the same thing to me when he first came to grab me. They seem to be chatting on but I can't help but admire her somewhat and for a split second it looked like she was deep in thought when I turned to Hagrid to ask if Caitlin could come with us since she was new and all like me which he seemed a little taken back by when she shakes her to agree that she didn't know about this stuff until today wow she's almost like me. She looks hesitant at first but when I hear that she'll come with us it made me a slight happy...weird.

Just then Hagrid makes a move for the front with me following close behind to see Caitlin walk beside me "Harry? What exactly are these things?" Caitlin asks me as she looks around "There goblins apparently" I reply "Yea clever as they come goblins but not the most friendliest beasts. Better stay close to me" Hagrid explains to us as I feel Caitlin walk closer to me on hearing that last part. Once we arrive up the front the goblin asks for our keys, I see Hagrid reach into his pocket to pull out my key as he says "Aha there's the little devil" whilst giving the goblin a letter that seems to be a secret.

I turn to Caitlin who looks confused a bit but then I hear a soft gasp from her as it looks like she's pieced something together and she holds out a beautiful key that's around her neck to the goblin who nods in approval before taking us to a rail cart, as we hop on it begins to move forward doing all these different flips and turns zooming on the tracks man it's like being on a roller coaster all though I've never been on one blame the family that raised me for that. As we go down one of the drops I feel Caitlin grab onto my hand making me blush a little "Oh um sorry the drop was a surprise" she says blushing as she quickly realizes she's grab hold of me, she's cute when she blushes "It's..it's ok".
