I don't know If this woman took my story literally...She may have thought I was just facing trauma from a kidnapping that caused me to see things. "So this, Puppy girl-" I rubbed my temples, "Poppy..."

"Yes Poppy, isn't she Mr. gr*** child? I haven't really seen him around for the past few days though. don't they live next door?"

I tapped my foot aggressively, "I just wanted to find a place with people other than...her and whatever is in her house..." The woman stood and walked to a cabinet she pulled two mugs out of, "Are you sure what you saw was a dead body? and a tall faceless man? maybe you thought you saw something but it was something else." She pored some juice into the mugs and walked back to the table. I nodded a thank you, "She shot at it as if she could see it too!" The woman thought for a moment, sitting back down to take a sip of her juice, "okay, but what if, she saw something else?" I felt annoyed, but this woman was the only one I knew could help me. Poppy could have found me any minute but I pushed the thought out of my mind, "Didn't you hear the gun shots? the house being pretty close you must have heard some-" she rushed to cover my mouth and placed her mug down on the table, "I haven't heard anything from the gr*** house for a week, no one entering or exiting when I drove by in the morning, no lights that seemed to be on, and certainly no gun shots."

I couldn't believe it, my situation was just getting worse and worse. "surely there must have been something." I was practically begging now. "sorry honey bun, I heard nothing and that's that. now quiet down before my son hears you and gets scared." She stood and removed her phone from her back pocket, "how about I contact the sheriff and get him down here to help you out." Once the woman had pulled out her phone I began to rush, there was no way the sheriff would believe me, they'd probably just label this a 'delusional teen' case and it wouldn't even get on  the news. "wait-" Before I could finish what was going on in my head, a knocked echoed through the room from the front door. "wait here." The woman stood and though I protested she had me stay down in my seat.

walking up to the door, she had to leave the room so I couldn't see what was going on, 'please don't be Poppy-Please' I heard the door creek open and faint whispers. "Why hello there young gr*** is everything alright?" 'dam it!' "Yes everything's fine, however have you seen my friend by chance- Latino with brown hair, purple jacket, blue eyes." The voice I recognized as Poppy described me as if she was looking for a missing daughter. 'If she knows i'm here she might hurt the woman and her son then kill me...but how am I to keep her from finding me...' I accepted defeat. If I pulled a fit going with Poppy bad things would happen and I didn't want anyone to get hurt. "You see we were playing a game that got out of hand and while climbing a tree she fell and began acting delusional" Poppy smiled falsely hoping the woman believed her...no... knowing the woman would believe her logical story; Poppy knew I was in the house, she knew I told the woman everything in search for help, she just needed a weird but logical story and the neighbor would believe her. 'Poppy did always have this way with people...' The woman thought for a moment, "I don't think I've seen a girl with that description..." she crossed her arms, and Poppy frowned. "Are you sure you haven't seen her walk by outside?" The woman glared at the blond teen with a bland expression upon her face, "No, but I will sure keep a look out sweet heart, so don't worry to much about your friend. I'm sure she'll turn up." I sighed in relief.

Poppy must have been hiding some disbelief and she whispered something I couldn't hear from my position though I got as close as I could, peeking past the corner a few times only to really she the woman. "thank you though, I guess i'll be off then." after goodbyes the door was finally shut. My back leaned on the wall and the woman came back, "...thank you..." I tried to say something else but that was all that came out...the woman huffed and tightened her pony tail, "we need to get you to the police station before she comes back..." she picked up her keys and began walking to the door. "Are You Sure Going Out Is A Good Idea?" She simply glared at me with that 'you owe me one' attitude.

"Let's go out the back door." She pulled me by the wrist to guide the way. I thought she was just going to turn me in as the crazy one, but this woman was the only one I could trust at the moment. However, the static sound began to come back as we approached the glass door. "Hey, what's wrong?" The woman put her hands on my shoulders, I couldn't see well, everything looked blurry and I used my hands to hold my head.

Everything stung, this faint whisper filled my ears and the woman's voice faded out. "come back..." I tried looked up, past the woman was the back door. I would have froze in place if I wasn't busy with the pain in my head. almost leaning on the door outside, was that faceless creature I saw in Poppy's house. This time It had blood scattered across it's suit, "come back..." The chants continued and I began kicking around. I must have started screaming but all I heard were the chants and laughter. It stayed like that for a few minutes maybe...till there was another gun shot. my ears were ringing but this time my hearing came back. The woman was rushing around the room, trying to get me to stand. The glass door shattered and when I looked up, instead of 'him' being there, Poppy held the gun, pointing it at the woman...I looked shocked... She looked amused...

And with a simple smile Poppy approached, but I wasn't scared, part of me snapped and I was glad that faceless man wasn't the one coming at me. Poppy walked in, "What The Hell! Are You Crazy I'm Calling The Police!" The woman tried to run, pulling my arm with her, but Poppy pulled something as well...

The trigger.

The woman screamed and fell to the ground holding her hand she had pulling me up to her chest. As Poppy came closer, the woman tried crawling away in a puddle of her own blood. tears ran down her face; she looked so scared... I wanted to do something but my body wouldn't move, like something was keeping me on my knees. a faint whisper entered my thoughts "sit back and watch what you caused..." I was so numb not even my breathing was legible. But a faint voice from the stair case snapped me back to reality. "M-Mom?" everyone's head turned to the small boy from earlier, his grip shaky as he held the railing. "why i-is this girl holding a gun to you? what's going on?" The boy looked so frightened. I frowned...but Poppy smiled. "say bye-bye mommy!" Poppy lifted the gun to point it to the boy and the woman screamed. "Please not him!" Poppy tugged the trigger with a devilish grin. The woman jumped reaching out to Poppy, And I ran.
