Today was the day. The day I was going to marry my best friend. The love of my life. Some people might think I'm crazy, and maybe I am, but I don't want to leave this world without making Ashley my husband.

The chemo and radiation did nothing. All the chemo did was make me sicker. I didn't want that. I wanted to spend whatever time I have left with my brothers and husband.

The guys and my parents were supportive. They wanted me to get better, but they realized this wasn't going to make me any better.

I smiled as Ashley came out to the living room, I grabbed him, gently pulling him close to me. "Is it wrong to steal a kiss before we say I do?" I laughed.

Ashley smiled and shook his head "Nah, I kind of like it to be honest with you." He grinned.

"Alright you two" CC teased, "save it for after the wedding" he laughed.

"Alright, lets do this." Ashley said, grabbing my hand and lacing our fingers together.
———
The wedding was beautiful. We didn't have a lot of people there. We didn't need a lot of people.

All that really mattered was being with Ashley and finally being able to call him my husband.

"I can't believe you and me are married." I said, the smile on my face growing as I looked in the bassists eyes. "I love you so much."

"I love you too." He said.

I knew my time was running out. I could feel it. I didn't want to tell Ashley. He'd been so depressed lately and I didn't want to do anything to make that worse.

"Night guys." Jake said, taking James by the hand and leading him into Jakes room.

"You know what?" I started. "I still expected Danny and them to be there today. A couple of times I even looked for them." Tears welled up in the corner of my eyes and I fought hard to keep them at bay. Afterall, this was my wedding day.

"You know something? I did too." He admitted.

"I still can't wrap my head around the thought of them being gone. I still think this is some joke, and they're gonna walk through those doors at any minute and laugh at us." I said.

Ashley nodded and wrapped his arms around me, pulling me close. "I know baby. I do too. But you know what? They were here today. I know it." He said softly.

I nodded, resting my head against his shoulder "I still need to call Matt...." I said, my voice trailing off.

"We'll worry about that tomorrow. Tonight, let's just worry about you and me." Ashley said with a smile.

I couldn't help but mirror the smile as I lifted my head, leaning in to press my lips firmly against the bassists.

So, Andy and Ashley actually did it. They got married. I was happy for them, but then again, I couldn't help but feel sad for them as well.

How was Ashley going to feel with Andy passed? We all knew it was coming, we just didn't know when.

"Danny would have been so happy.." James said, looking out the window in my room.

"He would have.." I added, sighing softly "come here" I said, opening my arms wide for the drummer.

James got up and made his way over to me, slipping his arms around my waist.

I felt bad, we'd been so focused on Andy and his needs that we haven't really been worrying too much about anything else.

James had been a trooper. He'd been there every step of the way with us, and hadn't complained once. He never said he needed his time to mourn. He wasn't worried about that. He was worried about us.

That was just the kind of person he was. Such an amazing guy.

"You know, I haven't even asked you how you're feeling." I said, running my fingers through his hair.

"I don't know how I am." He started "I guess I still feel like this is some sort of horrible nightmare. I'm going to wake up from any minute." He said.

I nodded, pulling him close and giving him a light squeeze. "Thank you for being here for us...for me..I don't know if I would have made it without you." I admitted.

James looked up at me, tears slipping down his cheeks "there's nowhere else I'd rather be."

"We're gonna get through this. All of us. We will make it. As long as we stick together.

"What do you think they'd think about us?" I asked, grinning.

James laughed "they'd probably say something along the lines of, finally James is going to get laid!"

I couldn't help but laugh, shaking my head. "Yeah, you're probably right." I said.

James laid across my bed, gently grabbing my hand and pulling me down to lay with him.

"I'm tired." He said softly, yawning.

"Sleep, baby." I said softly as I moved us up on the bed and helped James rest his head on my pillows.

James nodded "don't leave me. Okay?" He said, trying to keep his eyes open. Z

"I'm not going anywhere, baby." I started, snaking my arm around the drummer, soon finding it hard to keep my own eyes open.

"Goodnight, love." He said softly, already half asleep.

"Goodnight, baby." I said, letting my eyes close and hoping tonight I'd actually get some sleep.
