There are several differences between charms, talismans, amulets, totems, and other mojo items. Even mojo bags them selves have key differences. So allow me to explain.
Talisman: Talismans are often protection tools but can have other properties. One simple way to create a talisman is to put a sigil on a flat stone or clay disk
Charms: Charms usually bring luck or protection but most definitely bring other things such as love, prosperity, fortune, wealth ect.
Amulets: These pieces of jewelry usually bring protection to its user. I have seen amulets with other properties, but they were rare
Totems: Not to be confused with a totem animal. Totems are generally statues or carved pieces of wood, clay or stone. They are shaped in the form of a animal or spirit. Depending on the animal or spirit it is shaped like, it's properties change. For example a bear totem will likely give stability and nurture where as a eagle would give agility and bravery.
Mojo bag: Also called a prayer bag, is a bag that contains magickal items
If I left anything out please don't hesitate to tell me so and I will put it in.
