Jungkook entered the huge chapel awkwardly, alone. Holding a piece of flyer he had received as he entered the gate.
This actually wasn't the first time the young officer went to church though. He did it once, a very long time ago.
He still remembered it vividly, that one morning in Busan where he and his mother went to a small church around his neighborhood. Jungkook was five and held his favorite teddy bear with his right hand, walking alongside a middle aged woman who wore her thick blue furry sweater.
"Mom... where are we?"
"At the church son..." the woman smiled faintly.
Jungkook's mom features resembled her son a lot. They were both beautiful like the cherry blossom in spring as the many neighbors may say.
Jungkook was enjoying his time that he spent with his mom. He loved especially when people starting to praise and sing along inside the church. Simply because the small Jungkook loved to sing as well.
He was still too young to understand the concept of God. What he knew was just what his mom had told him, that God was the one who created him and sent him to her. She was beyond grateful of that and Jungkook smiled upon hearing it. He was happy that his mom was happy too.
Unfortunately, that first time would be also his last time to visit the church and also his last time to see his mom.
The poor woman was killed right after she tried to stop a thief from stealing her bag. The evil man brought a pocket knife and hid it inside his jacket. The greasy looking man stabbed his mom right in front of his eyes. Red blood splattered in front of the holy church, Jungkook was crying over his mom lifeless body.
Ever since that, he never believed in God. Even if He does exist, Jungkook believed that He was mean. If God was good then He wouldn't take his mom that early, would He?
Jungkook shook his head furiously from the horrible thoughts. He tried to reassure himself that he was here only to see a certain person. The person that could actually moved his heart even to the point, going to the place he despised the most.
Jung Y/N.
He knew Hoseok certainly forbid him to fell for her, to even have a slight feeling toward her. But after a long contemplating inside Hoseok's house, Jungkook was no longer able to lie toward himself. How could he say no when his heart beating rapidly on its own?
He sat down at the front row of the seat. Y/N was going to sing today, Jungkook wanted to witness it with his very own eyes. The wooden bench was still empty, most of the church was still empty. Of course, it's because the young man came an half hour earlier.
He nervously tapping his feet on the floor, waiting for anyone to come in. Lucky for him, just right after that, Y/N walked out from the backstage. Her slightly tired eyes met with Jungkook's soft one.
She widened her eyes before avoiding her gaze. She was still embarrassed with today's morning whole incident. She hated her clumsiness to forgot that she hadn't locked the door. Jungkook walked in when she was half naked, again.
She was visibly blushing, so was Jungkook. But the girl didn't want Jungkook to find her rude, so slowly she stepped forward to approach the young man on his black turtleneck complemented with his black coat.
"M-morning, Jungkook-ssi." She greets shyly. "Y-you came." Jungkook lips curled into a small smile as he heard her voice.
"Did Hoseok come too?" She asked while pretending to look around, she wished Hoseok was here too, please. It's too awkward.
