"What we knew from the CCTV is only the fact that the culprit might be around 170cm and above in height. Other than that, there is no single clue nor witness since he visited the department store months ago and it was crowded with people. The employees probably won't even notice he's there." Officer Junmyeon keep tapping on the picture plastered on the whiteboard.
"Are there any new updates? Any new clue?" He asked and the discussion room went deadly silent.
The male took a deep breath before looking at a man slouched on his seat on his left. "Where are Namjoon and his partner? Also, where is your partner, Officer Jeon?" Jungkook widened his eyes, straightened his seat as he spoke to the male stood in front of the room.
"Uhm... I don't know about Chief Namjoon but Chief Sehun And Hoseok are currently interviewing the druggies in the other room." Jumnyeon sucked in a deep breath.
"Why would they waste their time on that?!" He groaned furiously. Jungkook coughed and looked down on the table.
"They should have handed the case to the narcotic division. Aish!" He ran his hand frustratedly over his locks.
"And how is the process? Can you track that little bird's whereabouts, Jeon?" The young officer shook his head hesitantly.
Jumnyeon slammed his fist on the table. "H-he always u-use an f-fake I-IP address from a foreign country so I can't—" Jungkook stammered.
"Did I ask for your excuse?" The man raised his voice before lowering his head and grunted.
Jungkook frowned deeply. He did all the things he could to track the perpetrator, he didn't get enough sleep and always spent his time watching the site during the night. He still has to go on patrol too and even wearing the stupid Podori costume during the day.
Besides, he's just a rookie officer from a small station, if Junmyeon expecting an excellent result, he should've asked someone that actually expert in that field from the metropolitan office. Why would he bother to ask Jungkook to do the job in the first place?
He did all he could, he gave his all best. But why can't he see his effort? Why Officer Junmyeon acted as if Jungkook didn't do a single work?
"Jumnyeon-ssi. We already did our best to keep our eyes on the site. But you know it yourself how hard it's hard to track a fake IP address. Also, maybe you should ask people from the metropolitan for some help. Jungkook and I aren't capable of doing such a thing." Officer Janghoon suddenly butted in, he glanced at the rookie next to him before letting out a deep sigh.
Officer Junmyeon just scoffed and groaned inwardly.
"This is why you guys are stuck in this place. Why did you guys always look down on yourself?! You should've had a little pride and stop talking about handing this case to the metropolitan office! This happened around your jurisdiction, you should've felt responsible for it!" Junmyeon snapped.
