CHAPTER TWO: HER ARRIVAL

ALEXIE'S POV

I was awaken by the voice coming from above me.'The hell!
'" Maam, we're about to land, please wake up" I think it's the flight attendant. I slowly opened my eyes and I saw a face smiling at me.

Inayos ko ang pwesto ko at nagpasalamat. Tumingin ako sa labas ng bintana, at dahil malapit na kaming mag land, kitang kita ko na ang magulong Maynila.I can't help but raised my brow,' Is this the place they thought I'll be safe?' I still remember the reason why I'm here.

Flashback

I waited at the car for almost 30 minutes. I wonder what takes him so long?I glanced at Hanz outside and back at my watch.' God, ang boring.' Naputol ang pagiisip ko ng bumukas ang pinto sa may passenger seat at pumasok si Uncle Jack.

He remain awkwardly quiet. Maya maya, pumasok na si Hanz at sinimulang magmaneho.

"Uncle?"I queried.

" There's an incident, Alex. That is why I'm here. You can't come back to your place." What is he talking about?

" What do you mean? Can you elucidate your words and how come you found me? I am literally out of nowhere and why can't I come back to my flat?" My mind is flooded with questions.

" First question first, Alexie. You are in danger,your dad and I infered. You are aware of our works nature, right?" tumango lang ako kaya nagpatuloy ito.

"Something happened but I cant tell you coz if I do, you need to die." tumingin siya sa akin mula sa rearview mirror. I knew that already.That was their common lines for the past years.

" And literally speaking, you are caught in between ,being his daughter.And it's safe to send you somewhere.About your second question,its the first time I will tell you this. Please don't hate us." Hindi ako nagreact bagkus tumingin lang sa kanya. He sighed.

" We implanted a tracking chip in the left side of your stomach, Alex."

"YOU WHAT!?" I yelled and that put the car into a screech. Hanz take a gander at me and then start driving again.

" YOU PUT A FUCKING CHIP IN MY BODY AND I AM UNAWARE OF IT! WHY? HUH! WHY" I chastised.

" its for your protection, Alex. It is the best thing to do!" UNCLE Jack answered.

" so that's how you found me? " Hindi ko alam ang nararamdaman ko.I feel betrayed and thankful at the same time."When? when did you put it?" I tried to speak calmly.

"In your sleep, one night, five years ago."Uncle Jack retorted.

Now I really don't know what to do. Five fucking years, and I don't even feel that I was operated in my stomach. Before I even knew it, I laughed.
