Logan was surprised when Patton approached him.

It was middle of June. Logan was getting out of the lake, carrying 3 books. It was 4 pm, the sun was really high and hot, and Logan had forgotten his Astronomy book. On the way back from the cabin, he'd probably get a bottle of water and some form of shielding from the sun.

Logan had just gotten into the pier when Patton recognized him and ran in his direction, a smile across his face.

"Hey! Oh I'm so glad I found you!"

"Hello Patton." Logan adjusted his glasses "How may I help you?"

"That's the thing!" Patton waved a finger at him "Oh my gods, you're so smart!" Logan felt a bubbly feeling due to the comment, but ignored it "Well you see, I have severe dyslexia and I could never read much. But I was wanting to change that, so I can at least learn about monsters and stuff. And other interesting stuff. Philosophy and the concept of morality, stuff like that. Then I remembered! You read a lot! So I thought maybe you could help me?" Patton looked at him, puppy eyes and begging.

"Yes sure" Logan shot out. He immediately regretted it. Why did I answer so fast? I didn't even think if I can do it, if I have any appointments today, if I have the patience to teach him. Of course, and thankfully, Logan knew he could do it, he knew he didn't have any appointments until dinner, at 7:30 pm, and he really hoped he had the patience. For some reason, he didn't want to disappoint the boy.

Logan cleared his throat.

"Yes of course I can help you. When would you like to have classes?"

Patton opened his mouth, then closing it, apparently surprised Logan accepted it so quickly.

"Hmm, I don't have anything right now, do you?" Patton said.

"No, I am free for now"

"That's great! We could do it now!" The boy interlaced his arm with Logan's, who tended up at the physical contact. Patton realized, as he quickly let it go "So... where can we do it?"

Logan thought for a while. He liked to read everywhere, specially at the Apollo cabin and the Lake, but both seemed unfitting. Two people on a boat with a bunch of books was a bad ideia. And the Apollo cabin, or anywhere else where there were other people seemed bad. Patton would get distracted, and the noise wouldn't allow him to teach. Besides, for some reason, Logan didn't want to be seen with Patton. It looked like something he would like to do alone with Patton. No one else buzzing or interrupting. Well, he had just the right spot.

"Let's go to the Athena cabin"

"Are we allowed in there?" Patton asked, worryingly.

"Usually not, but I am. Follow me."

Logan left the pier, and Patton followed behind. They approached the Athena cabin, and Logan didn't even doubt before going in, while Patton looked twice before stepping on the stone footsteps.

"Good afternoon, Maria." Logan said, approaching a girl with short brown and blue hair on a bunker, her head hanging from the top bead while reading something that was probably fiction in Ancient Greek. The title said 'Making My Own Movie'. Logan had seen her with this book about twice before, and on the first time she told him it was not instructions on how to make a good film, but rather a romance.

Maria took her eyes of her book for a few seconds to spot Logan "Hey, Logan" she waved two fingers in the air, greeting him "Tell me if I'm being rude. What do you want?"

"That is quite rude" Logan answered. He was used to Maria "Could I use your library?"

"Yeah sure, but why? Don't you have like a spot in the Lake?" Then she saw Patton "Oh hi! Patton right? Oh, you're coming with Logan? To do what? I'd say my library is no making out point, but that's not Logan, so is he going to teach you something?"

Both Logan and Patton blushed hardly, Logan looked to the window and muttered 'That's not me', while Patton looked to the ground and said "He's going to teach me Ancient Greek."

Maria nodded and pushed a button on the side of her bed. Underneath her bunker, stairs appeared.

Logan said a quick thanks and went down the stairs.

"Wow" whispered Patton.

The room they were in was awesome. All four walls were covered in bookshelves, and ordered by topic. There were four desks in the middle of the room, two having computers. A box in one of the sides had endless sheets of paper, pencils and pens.

"Yes, I too adore this place" Logan said, smiling a bit at Payton's amazed face. He sat down, pulling a sheet of paper and a pen "Now, in what do you need help?"

Patton sat down too, and pointed the stuff he had trouble with. Logan smiled. Well, this will be easy to teach. Logan pulled some books from the bookshelves.

When the horn for dinner was heard, Patton got up, a huge smile on his face "Oh thank you so much, Logan! It's so easier when it's you teaching! Oh my gods I finally get it!"

Logan got up as well, and before he could embrace himself, Patton hugged him. Logan stood there, very stiff, giving awkward taps on Payton's back.

Finally, Patton let go, and went out. Logan organized the table, a smell impregnated in his clothes. It smelled like cookies and Christmas. It was the smell of Payton's hair. Logan didn't know why, but he really enjoyed the smell.

With a sigh, Logan went upstairs for dinner.
