The Contest (cte fanfic)

Chapter 10.

'She'll be here in an hour. Don't be an idiot. We are going now, oh and she thinks you won't be here when she comes by.' I say to Taddie.

*Katelynn's POV*

Okay. So I have an hour and he won't be there so I should be fine. Apparently David found them in his bag? He probably took them. No one even trusts me with them anymore. All I ask for in life is a pack and a lighter. Is that too much to ask for? Whatever. All I have to do is go over there and get them. I mean Taddie won't be over there so it won't be awkward. David is my friend so I'll only see him. It should all be good I think. I need to go take a shower and get some clothes.

Okay. I have about thirty minutes so now I can eat. Pizza won't be here within the amount of time. Chinese wouldn't either. Maybe I'll wait till I get back? But I'm hungry now. Okay. One sandwich that's it. I go into the kitchen and start making a sandwich. Which was surprising good. I finish eating my sandwich and I have about 20 minutes. I could watch half an episode of Supernatural?

Yeah that's a good idea. I start watching it and getting ready at the same time. About ten minutes after i start the show i look over at the time. Maybe i should go? Yeah its not a bad idea. I start getting my phone and leaving. I havent been in my car for a while and its actually clean.

I arrive at their house and get out of my car. This should be quick. All I have to do is knock on the door see David ask for the pack and it should all be done. I start walking up to the door and once I get there I knock. I wait for about thirty seconds and I hear the door unlock. I look down at my shoe and it's untied so I start to tie it.

'Hey.' I hear someone say.

I quickly look up and see Taddie. David said he wouldn't even be here. I can't believe I keep trusting people. It's a really stupid idea.

'Hi. Do you know where David is?' I ask.

'Here.' He says handing me the pack.

'Thanks. Well I better go.'

'Wait. I need to talk to you.' He says.

'What?'

'Come in and sit down.'

I go in and sit down. He sits down next to me and starts talking. This should be a whole lot of fun. I guess he's trying to explain what happened over tour? I don't know, I kind of spaced out.

'What I'm trying to say is that I'm sorry. I know I should've talked to you but I seriously thought you did that. I know it was stupid to think that. I know I shouldn't have believed Alex. I know I'm stupid. I'm sorry.' He says.

'You beat up your best friend. You didn't talk to me for three weeks. You believed Alex. You didn't care anymore. You didn't believe me.' I say.

'It was a stupid decision. Me and Andy made up before you came over.' He says.

'It really was.' I say almost in tears.

'Don't cry. I didn't mean to upset you. There was a lot of things running through my mind those three weeks. I'm sorry.'

'Just. Please never do that again. Ya know this isn't fair.' I say.

'What isn't fair?'

'You being all you. I mean, it's freaking hard to stay mad at you and seriously it's wrong.'

'Oh come on you know you love me.' He says.

'Love is a strong word.'

'You're right. Admire.' He says smiling.
