The Contest (cte fanfic)

Chapter 2.

"Mom! Leave me in my room all day!" I yell

"Alright. I'll be back soon love you!" she says back

"You too" I yell

It's contest time. I need to win this so fudging bad!! If I don't win I won't be surprised. Man, if I win I will be so happy. I turn up my music and it's a YouTube mix of ADTR. All Signs Point To Lauderdale is the first to play and Jeremy looks so beautiful. Before you ask, yes I'm a fangirl. But not a crazy one! All Signs Point To Lauderdale is probably my favorite ADTR song. As Have Faith In Me starts playing I look up at the time. 7 pm. The contest starts in 30 minutes. I snuggle more into my blanket and my dog jumps on my bed.

It's officially time that the contest starts. I send in the picture of me holding up my poster. It has some lyrics on it and a few other stuff. Not much really. Tomorrow we will know who won. Tomorrow we will know I didn't win. Tomorrow will be hell. At 7pm tomorrow they will say the winner. If you win you get an A Day To Remember shirt and you get to hang with them for a day. I'm sure it would be A Day to Remember. My jokes are stupid wow.

My birthday is tomorrow and I'll officially be 19! November 20th will turn out good I hope. God I can't wait. It should be fun. My mom is buying me an ADTR cake! I want to sleep right now so I can wake up an it'll be my birthday. I'm gonna sleep. Good night!

It's only 12pm?! I mean I just woke up and it's only 12pm! I normally wake up around 1pm. Oh well. Lunch time it is! I go downstairs and see my mom.

"Aye mom."

"Happy birthday hun!"

"Mom you don't have to call me that anymore. I'm 19 now. What's for lunch?"

"We are going to have Chinese for dinner so pizza?"

"Sure!"

I order the pizza and they say it will be here in 20 minutes. I head up stairs and take a shower then get dressed. I'm so dying my hair today. Blonde isn't working for me.

"Mom I'm going to the store! Gonna buy some hair dye. Blue probably! Need anything?" I yell

"No. But blue would look good on you!" She says.

"Thanks mom bye!" I say.

I have about ten minutes before the pizza guy comes. I get into the car and it's 1pm. Only 6 more hours. Im happy I have a cool mom. Makes life a lot easier. I turn the radio on and Blink 182 comes on. I start singing along and I drive off to the store. As I get to the store I get a call from my mom saying pizza is there. I turn off the radio and go inside. I walk over to aisle 8 and get the blue hair dye. There is a boy about my age who is there also. Someone's parents made a beautiful child wow.

"Katelynn right?" he says.

"Y-yeah. Sorry do I know you?" I say.

"Oh sorry. I'm Corey. I went to school with you." he says.

"Oh. Okay. Well I need to get this hair dye and go home. Pizza is waiting!" I say before saying anything embarrassing.

"Alright. Have fun dying your hair-" he turns my bottle around to see the color "Blue."

"Yeah thanks."

I go up to the cashier and pay for my hair dye. $9.50 wow. It's gone up since I dyed it last time. Ugh it's already 2! Time went by fast. I start driving home with the radio on.

We eat our pizza and it's so good! After I'm done eating I run upstairs and plug my iPhone in and listen to more ADTR because why not? I send a text to my mom and tell her that I'm going to take a nap until 6:30.

Time to sleep.

Okay it's 6:30 and I just woke up. I need to go downstairs and get my computer so I can check who will win. I go get my computer after procrastinating for 10 minutes. I also grab the Chinese my mom got me.

"I'll be upstairs dying because I didn't win!" I yell

"You might. You never know." She says.

I run upstairs and it's already 6:45 only 15 more minutes. I go on YouTube and watch Pewdiepie for a while. It's been 14 minutes. The anxiety is starting to build up. In 1 minute they will say I didn't win and that some other girl or guy did. 10 seconds. 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1. I quickly go onto the website and I see them. ADTR right there. These webcast are life okay.

"Hello. I am Jeremy. This is Alex, Neil, Josh, and Kevin, and we are A Day To Remember. A day ago we held a contest. Whoever made the best poster would win an ADTR shirt from us and get to hang with is for a day. Now, after hours of looking through them all, we have come to a conclusion that this person will win." Jeremy says.

God he is so cute, and look at Alex!! Oh my god. They're all so cute. They keep making really stupid puns and then Kevin fell off his stool. He's so stupid sometimes.

"Now, the winner is..someone you've all been waiting to find out this person is...a very talented artist we all loved the poster...the Winner is. Drum roll please Alex."

Alex starts to drum roll on his drum box.

"The winner is"-Jeremy opens the envelope "Katelynn Hall! Anyways, we will call you later Katelynn. We love all of our fans! You are all what makes us happy and this happen. We love you guys. Bye."

I run back into my room and the broadcast is over. I missed it. I can't believe I missed it!! it probably wasn't even me! It doesn't even matter! I'm going to go dye my hair then sleep!
