Chapter 4.

'So what happened to her?' Neil asks

'When we were racing she fell and sprained her ankle.' Alex says laughing

'Not surprising' Josh adds

'Your just jealous that Princess carried me and not you Josh!' I yell

'Oh yeah real jealous.'

We all get into the car and Jeremy turns the radio on. Smokahontas by Attack Attack is the first song playing. Then The Fallout out by CTE and so on. I feel my phone buzz in my pocket. Ya know if this car wasn't so cramped I would get it. I try reaching into my pocket and getting it and it works.

'Hey. You gave me this?'

'Sorry who's this?'

'Brent'

Ok I didn't actually think he would text me. What do I text to sound cool? Something like "oh hey. New you would come around" with a winky face? No that's a bad idea. Okay. Think Kat! Okay. Just say hey.

'Oh. Hey sorry.'

'It's fine. I was wondering if you'd want to go catch a movie sometime? Ya know after warped is over.'

'Sure. I'd like that.'

'Cool.'

"Who ya texting?" Kevin asks.

"Why does it matter?" I say.

"Probably your boyfriend." He adds.

"Don't have one. Guys don't find me attractive." I say laughing.

Alex mumbles something that I don't hear.

"Okay. Then who is it?" Kevin asks.

"If you must know. It's Taddie. He wants to go to a movie sometime." I say rolling my eyes.

"So your future boyfriend?" Neil says.

"No I have an eye on someone else. But it doesn't matter because surprise. He doesn't like me." I say.

"Cough Alex cough" Jeremy says.

"What Jeremy?" I say

"Oh look we are here." Jeremy says.

I roll my eyes and we all get out of the car. Once everyone's out Jeremy goes to park the car. Jeremy walks over to us all and we go inside. Josh and Kevin pick a booth that has enough seats for us all. I tell Jeremy what I want and him Kevin, and Neil go to pick it all up. Josh goes to the bathroom just leaving me and Alex.

"You know I won the race right?" he says.

"Actually my hand touched the car before you did. So technically I won." I say.

"Whatever nerd. Take your ice cream."

We all start eating our ice cream and Kevin starts talking. I hear him mumble something to Josh and I keep eating my ice cream.

"Look guys. It's been really fun but I gotta get back to my mom-" no. Okay. Did you already forget about it!!! Am I crying. What the fudge!

"Excuse me." I say to Kevin so I can get out.

I need to go somewhere. Bathroom? No. Park? No. I'll just walk home.

"Hey wait up." Jeremy says jogging behind me.

What does he want? I just need to go home. Now.

"Katelynn I know your Sad about it but we are trying to help you have a good time. They don't know what happened only me so they are wondering why you ran out."
