A Very Bad Day

The car sped away as Scott held on to me. He was wrapping a gauss around the wound, trying to stop the bleeding. I didn't understand what was going on because normally I healed very fast, but something was stopping me from healing. Probably the wood in my arm

"Don't try to heal. It makes us weaker..." Gem said, sounding very weak. I closed my eyes trying my best not to think of my skin pulling together and healing itself.

"Kathy... Kathy... KATHYYYYYYYY!" Scott yelled, I opened my eyes and saw a worried Scott leaning over to check if I responded. I gave him a weak smile, but he still looked like he could kill anyone at that moment. I had no idea why they were so worried about me. The intense emotions that were imbedded in his stare kind of scared me.

The car came to a sudden stop.

The door flew open.

I was flying.

Then I crashed.

I lost so much blood already and still it spilled out of me. My vision was starting to fade away, like a lens going out of focus. Voices, all around me, some screaming, some pleading, some even sounded happy. I felt like I was floating on water. I smiled to myself, remembering the one thing that me and Dimitri always did together...

" Are you sure about this D?" I asked skeptical. We were standing on the edge of a waterfall, the soft drops of the water flouting up to meet us. A rainbow was clear a little way down. Dimitri had a goofy smile plastered on his face.

" Calm down K! This is spoused to be fun! " He yelled, before he jumped into the crystal blue waters at the bottom. The water rippled and then stopped. My heart skipped a beat as Dimitri didn't come up. I panicked.

" Dimitri!!!" I yelled but no answer. Then I jumped. The air swirling around me. As I hit the water the coldness of it seeping through my skin. Once inside I looked around, searching for him, then something grabbed me from behind. I swam up and as soon as I turned, I saw Dimitri behind me, laughing himself senseless.

" That wasn't funny D!" I said and went to give him a slap, but he caught arm, holding me above water and smirked.

" Got you down, didn't it?" I rolled my eyes.

" Remember our deal?" He asked.

" Of course, I remember dummy!"

And I did. The deal was that no matter where we were we would jump down a waterfall for good luck. Every time we did it, we had success in our missions so we never stopped. Even when Dimitri was gone, I'd go and jump down a waterfall before an assignment for good luck. This time I didn't. That's why I started with bad luck...

A beeping woke me up. It had a rhythmic tune to it. Beep, pause, beep, pause, beep, pause. I opened my eyes to a bright light. It didn't hurt my eyes, just got me off guard. A person was sitting next to me on a chair, hunched over, his chest slowly rising and falling. Probably asleep. I recognized the brown hair belonging to Scott. I rubbed my eyes and looked around the room. I was hooked up to a monitor, that's where the beeping came from, I said mentally. The room wasn't big, and had three windows. One to my right bringing in light from the sun threw the blinds. In front of me were two big ones looking out into the rest of the place I was in. White light shining in the hallway. People walking past wearing blue scrubs, white lab coats and red scrubs. I was in a hospital.

" You're awake. " Alpha Henry said at the door. I didn't even notice him standing there until that moment. Scott shot up from his chair looking half asleep still. He walked over to me and looked at me, really looked at me. I suddenly blushed for no reason and looked away. Scott rubbed his eyes and smiled at me.

" You can thank me later for saving your life Kathy. " He said as he took my hand in his, not the way Dimitri did, but the way a loving sibling would....

" Do not think of Dimitri." Cami said. She was still hurt about him just leaving. I gave Scott a smile, a real one.

" Doc Smith said you can leave as soon as he's done checking up on you. " Alpha Henry said, walking closer to the bed, he placed his hands on the sides of the bed. His hand twitched, like he wanted to do something, but decided against it. I just chook it off and laid-back waiting for Doctor Smith.

Scotts POV

"Driver. Hospital. Now." Henry yelled. The driver did as tell and spun off into the direction of the Royal hospital. Kathy was lying down on the back seat while I was sitting on the side trying to think of a way to stop the bleeding. I looked down and saw my shirt I was wearing over a plain white t. I ripped of the bottom of it and started to wrap it around the wound. The red liquid stained the blue material, the bleeding, didn't want to stop. Suddenly Kathy stopped breathing.

" Kathy... Kathy... KATHY!!!" I yelled and shook her. Her eyes went open, but they weren't hers. Her eyes were red with golden rings all around the pupil. I stared at her then she closed her eyes, but she was breathing.

" What's going on Scotty?" Henny asked looking back. His eyes filled with concern.

" She's fine. Why do you care in anyway? You were the one who said you didn't want her in the pack!!!!!!" I yelled at him.

" I know, but..."

" But what??"

" Shes, my mate. Save her please Scotty, I can't lose her." His voice was filled with pain. I placed my hand on her head to check her fever. She was burning up, her eyes went open again, this time looking like her normal brown. We came to a stop, and then the door swung open. I lifted her out of the car. She was so light!

I placed her on a gurney, and the doctor's rushed her away. She was white as a ghost. I turned around to face Henny. He had his hands in his hair. I walked to him and looked at him, giving him my worst go to hell look.

" What is it, Scotty?" He asked.

" She's your mate? Why didn't you tell me man?" He sighed. His eyes were frantic. He never looked like this, come to think of it, he didn't even look so bad when I was in the hospital.

" I wanted to. When we got home but then this happened." His eyes softened, like really softened.

" She'll be okay don't worry Henny. "

We just stood there staring in the direction of where they took her

" I hope you're right Scotty. "

" She's our Luna, we won't let anything happen to her."

" Never." He spoke. Softly. Then he went to sit and wait for the doctor to give us the news.

" Alpha Henry?" The doctor called about an hour later

Henry jumped up. The doctor came closer.

" We managed to get all the pieces of wood out of her arm. She's a strong one. During the autopsy we took beforehand, we came across something strange." The doctor handed him a file, patted my back and left after saying she's in room 25.

Henry stared at whatever was on that paper.

" What is it? " I asked. He handed me the file and walked to the room where Kathy was.

" This can't be. How? HENRYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!" I yelled running after him
