Chapter 7

A Party For A Princess

"The party will start in an hour Lex." I say looking at the clock that stood on my nightstand.

" We have to find you the perfect dress to impress Mister Royal. " She said while wiggling her eyebrows. We became friends. Me and Lex after discovering that she actually had a crush on little Royal and not mister hot shot himself. Henry knew she had one on Scott that's why she gave him that smile, she also told me that Henry had told her I was his mate, but didn't pressure me into talking about it.

" How about... This one?" She pulled out the dress I wore the night we went to Eli's dinner.

" No not that one." I say firmly. She furrowed her eyes.

" It would make Henny go crazy. I can pro..." I cut her of

" Please Lex not that one. " It was probably the pleading in my voice, because she put the dress back and started looking threw the other clothes. I felt so guilty about being mean to her.

" I'm sorry Lex. It's just... The dress brings back too many memories that I'm just not ready to deal with yet. " She came back holding up a soft royal blue dress.

" Don't worry about its K. I understand, when you're ready you can tell me. Okay? Anyway, how about this one?"

The dress was elegant yet styling.

The dress was given to me by Dimitri on my birthday. Which is weird considering I don't age, but he insisted. " Yes okay. " I agreed. " But what about you? I mean you are the birthday girl aren't you supposed to stand out?" I asked. Really concerned. My cover could be blown if someone recognized me.

" Don't worry about that. All I'm worried about is you. You don't seem as interested in Henry as he is to you?" There she goes. She's really good at this. She wouldve made a pretty good detective.

" Then we need to keep a lookout for her. She might find out what we're really doing here." Cami said.

" Yea I think it's because I'm not a full breed, you know. " I say giving a shrug.

" That is not true and you know it." Ru said. Still bombed that I didn't let our mate know we know.

" Probably. But it'll kick in soon. " With that she started my make up. It was simply done, some eyeliner and mascara. The party was a formal one, because a lot of important alphas from different packs were coming to present their son's as potential mates to Lex.

At about 5:30 I went downstairs, Alexa had to go and get ready. The entrance hall was lively, everyone who had already shown up was talking. I walked down the stairs, my heals softly clicking at every step. Once I almost reached the bottom, I saw Henry dressed in a dark black blue suit, a white shirt and a black tie. He looked very dashing...

" Wow. You look... Amazing." He said as he took my hand and helped me down the last few steps.

" You don't look so bad yourself. You clean up nicely." I said. Sounding more confident than I felt.

" Let me take lead. Please K. Hes, my mate." Ru said. I closed my eyes for a split second. I knew that once they opened that my eyes would have golden circles around the edge and middle of the eye.

" Your eyes Kathy." Henry said as he stared at them.

" What about them? Do you not like them?" I asked. My voice sounding foreign to me. Ru was in charge.

" I love them, they are so beautiful." He places a hand on the side of my face.

A trumpet sounded threw the hall and someone said.

" May I present to you Alexa Show. "

Scotts POV

"We are late!"! Xavier, my wolf yelled. I rolled my eyes fixing my tux and tie as I ran up the stairs. I opened the door and saw everyone wasn't staring at me, thank goodness.

I looked up to see an angel descending the stairs. She was wearing a dress that hung till the floor, with a slit on her right side.

Her hair was curled. She looked like a real live angel to me. Suddenly the smell of Pine trees and sea hit my nose.

"Mine!" My wolf yelled. Suddenly I was at the bottom of the stairs waiting for my beautiful mate to meet me.

" Hey Scotty. " She said as she reached me. Her voice sounding like water softly flowing.

" Hi Lex. " I gave her my hand and she took it sending a wave of tingles threw my arm. I lead her to the dance floor. The music started to play and we swayed to the music. It was perfect, like one of those love at first sight things.

"Why did she only now feel the bond? Why not when she turned sixteen?" Ace asked. I couldn't answer that question.

"Scotty!" Henny yelled, walking up to us holding hands with none other than Kathy.

" Well hallo there Henny. " I say, a smirk playing on my lips. I took Lex's hand in mine and she blushed.

"Adorable"

" So, you two?" Henny asked.

I nodded.

" Yes. I just found out to. Strange, I didn't feel any pull towards you when I turned sixteen. But now..." She blushed again

" I'm happy Lex." Kathy said. Her eyes had golden ring circling the outer and inner parts of her eyes. She saw me looking and gave me a wink. I just shook my head and smiled, knowing full well she'll tell me later, or I'd just get it out of her. Mwahahaha...

Lex bowed her head down and for the first time ever said.

" Thank you, Alpha Henry and Luna Katherine. "

She never spoke like that. She grew up with us so I didn't understand why she did that. I could see Henry was thinking the same but shrugged it off.

" Enjoy your day Lex. By the way, the present wrapped in pink is from me." Henry said as he took Kathy away.

" Alpha? Luna?" I asked walking to the garden with her.

" Yes. I know it's strange, but in order for me to get their blessing I had to do that. Because I am a shadow, I cannot just take anyone as my mate. You are destined to be with me and therefore I had to get a blessing. The consequences of the bond without approval are dire. " She came to a stool in front of the fountain that was in the middle of the garden.

" That's complicated. But I think I can simplify. " I say pulling her closer and connecting my lips either hers. She stiffened for a second before melting into my embrace. She was so small in my arms. I wrapped my arms around her and pulled her even closer to me. Her arms went around my neck and pulled me down to deepen the kiss. Finally, she pulled away and I almost growled.

" That wasn't simple, but damn. " She said before kissing me again.
