When I wake up the next morning in my childhood bedroom, it's to the smell of bacon coming from the kitchen. The previous day comes back to my mind of Mom and Ivy and I just watching TV for the rest of the day and playing a few games before we all ended up passing out. I sit on my phone for a bit before I wake up a bit more and stand up, following the smell of the amazing food downstairs. When I walk into the kitchen, Mom was flipping some pancakes while Ivy sits on the counter with some papers in her hands as she reads over them.

"Good morning, angel," Mom says, coming over to me to kiss my cheek before going back over to the food that looked almost done. I kiss my sister on the cheek before helping her study while we wait for breakfast to be ready and once it was, we sit in the dining room to eat.

"Are you going to talk to your sugar daddy today?" Ivy blurts out, making me roll my eyes with a small chuckle as Mom looks over at us in confusion because she didn't know that Julian spent some money on me. It wasn't too much that I was worried that he thought I was just with him for his money, which I wasn't. He was an amazing person, even if he did fuck up a bit.

"Sugar daddy?" Mom questions, looking over at me while I rub my eyes with my palms to get rid of the tiredness. When I look at the two of them, I send a glare to my little sister as she giggles from what she just said.

"It's a joke, Mom," I tell her with a chuckle before looking over at my sister. "and I'll probably go over tonight, yeah, and give him hell like you told me to."

"Uh, it's definitely not a joke, Mila. The dude bought you that suit and he always pays-" Ivy starts and I reach over, covering her mouth with my hand. I glance at my mom to see her staring at me with high interest in what my little sister just said. I let out a sigh before taking a sip of my orange juice, knowing that my mom was going to make this a big deal.

"He's bought you stuff?" Mom asks.

"Just a suit. It was for the event thing," I say, trying not to sound too bitter about how that night ended. "and he pays for food and stuff, but I try to pay, I promise you. He just won't let me and Ivy seems to think he's my sugar daddy or something, which he isn't."

Ivy shrugs with a smirk as she takes a bite of her pancake. "Well, it's not like it matters. The guy's rich."

"Ivy," Mom scolds. "we don't take money from people unless we absolutely need it. We're independent people that shouldn't depend on people because that can just open up a can of worms that we won't be able to close."

"Mom, the dude's rich. It's not like he's going to break up with Mila and then demand he get his money back. I bet his bank account didn't even notice that he spent, maybe, 600 dollars on a suit. He doesn't care, so I think Mila doesn't need to either. He's already too uptight and-"

"Hey!" I say, lightly hitting Ivy's shoulder. "I'm not uptight."

"Well, I mean, your sister might be right, baby," Mom says with a shrug of the shoulder.

"Mom!" I snap, making the both of the girls in front of me chuckle before continuing to eat the food that was in front of them. We start a conversation about Ivy's school about one of her teachers that had been suspended for putting some kid in a chokehold. Mom got super protective, telling her that if she ever sees that teacher again, she was going to go to the school and demand that he be fired, which he probably will be within a week since parents were already freaking out about it.

We continue talking about random things until all of the food was gone, but we make no move to leave the table. My phone starts to vibrate and I sigh as I turn it over, seeing that Mia was calling. I hit the answer button before putting it up to my ear. "Hey, what's-"
