Alexis' pov:

"Max?"

After I uncovered her eyes she like froze as her eyes darted between the faces of her friends.

"Max?" I said a bit louder as she took a step back with her mouth opened as her eyes met mine before looking back at them.

"Maxim!" I said coldly to try to get her attention but she ran over to Mike grabbing him.

"DON'T YOU DARE!!! DON'T YOU DARE TO---" I zipped over and covered her mouth with one hand and hugging her arms to her side with the other, she held him so tight hand prints remained on his arms but not a bruise, that sentence revealed to me what was the problem as I felt tears dripping from her eyes as she trashed around.

"Max stop moving!!" I yelled making her stop as it was an order, everyone looked worried. "Max remember how I told you, you cannot reveal the future to anyone or the person will suffer and meet harsh consequences, you cannot tell any of our friends what you just saw of them, you cannot, you can hint but never say or do you want them to suffer?"

I let her go when she had calmed down a bit and let her hug Derek as I walked to the cliff to stare off while thinking.

"I should have never taught you this." I said, facing back to look at them. "I should have never taught you to use a gift that wasn't yours to begin with, Harold was born to have that gift not you, I'm deeply sorry for whatever you saw." I told them, more like her as she looked at me.

"Mike." She whispered after a while. "I forbid you from fighting in this war alongside Anna." She said coldly.

"What?! You can't do this to m--" "Please!! Mike it is an order!! You and Anna remain with the people needing protection and do NOT join the fight!!" She yelled at him.

".... Alright, if you say so."

After this I stopped training Max with his gift despite her protests, what she had seen was scaring and she could in no way divulge any info of it, no mind links, no notes, nothing, she knew it too.

Hans had recruited the other cold one's coven nearby to help us, the wolves were getting better at fighting, I was still training them to beat me but only because they might end up against Cain despite him being my enemy that I shall end.

They could hold themselves against the cold ones but against me it was questionable, it went from ten seconds to fifteen for the average with around twenty for the best, it was a small step forwards but it was still a step.... And not one backwards so it was good.

I was on my cliff as usual looking at the sun set and deep in thoughts.

I looked back when I heard the crunching of leaves and smiled softly, patting the spot on the rock just next to me.

"What are you thinking about again?" Max sat down and I leaned my head on her shoulder with a sigh.

"About all this mess brought upon this pack by someone from my people who obsessed over me since the old times."

"Yeah but after this he'll be dead and leave us alone forever."

"I fear that if we were to kill him he'd become a similar Spirit to you, love and obsession both make you think of the person you love before you die, that's what creates spirits, that means that he'll be reborn with a similar personality and if he were to see me again would have similar behavior."

"Fuck, never thought about that."

"Let's not even for now, let's worry about that later."

"Yeah.... Isn't there a way of me telling the future? Other than hints in riddles or like I did with Mike and Anna, forbidding them from doing something by orders even if they don't know what?"

"No Max there and no loopholes around this part of the memory seeing, you can't tell of the future while I can't tell of the past, some things I know I just cannot tell, they must be left forgotten in time and there are things you can't tell of the future, they must remain unknown."

"Can I change their future?"

"It is rare, no matter what he tried to change, if something needed to happen it would."

"Do you think he knew he'd be murdered by Cain for loving you?"

"If they looked at each other's eyes they'd faint because of the similitude of their powers and the connection it created so if he'd have known this was too happen he must have trained years on end to learn to look into his own memory in a different way as people normally do and let him see his future.... If he knew he'd have known it was inevitable."

"Do you think they'd hurt the town people? They can't know about us."

"Honestly no one other than Cain would and neither would he if he isn't that stupid, the council had made it law all those seen by humans that they aren't mated to or a family with will be killed, even if he has my enemies on his side no one would wish to meet the council."

"The council are those powerful hybrids of both race that reign over us right?"

"Well they are a subspecies of mine not hybrids if you understand, I made them myself before creating this pack as I knew of wolves and thought despite there being packs they needed a big ruler to rule over them all since humans had kings to do that wolves needed someone too, only three of the ten chosen lived and still do, later on in time their power encircling the cold ones too."

"So as per se you helped create today's vampire and werewolf society."

"You could say so, though only those three of the subspecies remain, they too having the same problem in reproducing and being hunted as my people had and died out before I made these three, Kark was too be one but he didn't survive, I never changed someone or even tried since then, that's why I refused and got in a fight with Hans, I didn't want to lose him to the venom too."

"Can they change people into people like them?"

"Well you see it works a bit weirdly, if there is loads of venom they can change into wolves but if there isn't they can change people in normal vampires, only someone like I can create someone of the subspecies, I hope Cain isn't stupid enough to create some they are hard to control."

"Control??"

"Every creature we create we are like the official alpha too, we can order them around and all, it isn't like how I can force you to obey me, I'm their leader and pack leader too, just like you will be to the pack. I can free them from their bond and I did that with the council but you can't."

"Alright.... Would you change me?" I knew the question was coming.

"Max please not now, you know the story why I refuse to have ever done it again, there is a high chance of the person dying."

"I know but I will age and change, unless changed I will not remain indefinitely and I cannot leave you alone."

"Could I be given time?"

"All the time you need."

I sighed, I knew I would need to choose in either maybe killing her early or let her grow up and die, neither options were good for me so I need some time to think.... But time is soon running out.
