I woke up in cold sweat for some reason and sat there for a while thinking over what the hell was I dreaming about but only those three sentences kept back to, I was getting more confused by the second, why did I feel such dreadful and stressed?

I looked at the clock and sighed, rubbing my hand over my face, my wolf kept telling me I'd have answers soon but how soon is soon?

I heard a knock on my window and looked up, smiling as I opened it and Alexis hoped in.

"I felt your stress through the bond, are you alright?" Yeah mates feel the other emotions to certain extent so I must have been stressing a shit tone for her to come over.

"I'm fine, a dream."

"Alright, happy you are alright." God I wanted to have her right now, like right now, she was only in booty shorts and a loose fitting crop top, oh god that stomach is flat so sexy "Stop those thoughts of yours before you burn the clothes off me." I turned red as she laughed, not meaning it in a bad way. "It might have been almost 3000 years since my last relationship so I might be rusty so let not discard our clothing right away."

"Y-yeah sorry you just look good I guess, I mean you do and--" "I get it I get it don't worry." I smiled at her, looking in her eternally narrowed red eyes.

"I euh thought already that you might want to take it slow but euh.... Can I kiss you? I mean usually normal mate do kiss soon, not that you are normal, you are incredi--" I was cut off by what I had asked for, a kiss, her having took my chin between her thumb and pointer finger and pulled my head up as she was slightly taller and well kissed me.

I rolled my arms around her waist and pulled her closer as I felt her free hand's back pass gently over my left cheek.

I opened my eyes I didn't know I closed when she backed away and put her forehead against mine with a small smile as she looked me in the eyes.

"You ramble a lot." She said.

"Sorry."

"It is fine, I waited for this long I can wait a bit longer to listen to you, I have all the time for you, all my eternal life as long as they don't burn me away."

I smiled and just like chatted about anything that came to mind, I tried asking her where her race came from since it came before mine but she always said the same thing. 'Some past things are to be never known to people of the present and future.' So how we first came to be shall forever remain a mystery, it was saddening to know she was the last of her people.

I ended up cuddling to her side in my bed, she was laying on her back with one arm under her head as I had my one around her waist behind her back and my head on her chest with my other arm resting near too, the blanket over us, her body was cold but not ice cold like vampires, more like a river water cold, it was nice. Her slow but steady heartbeat calming, slow compared to humans which forty beat per minutes for them and I'd say only twenty-five or even twenty for her, around those numbers. Another calming thing was her free hand was playing with my hand.

"Don't you need sleep?"

"I can live without sleep but can decide to enter a sleep like state, waking up as if I had just closed my eyes a few second before, sleep does nothing for me."

"Mhm.... Well amma sleep since I need it."

"It's alright, do so."

Alexis' pov:

I smiled as I messed with her hair as I heard her breathing slow and stabilized, showing she fell asleep, I let go off her hair and lay my arm around her and rest my hand on her shoulder gently.

Yeah Kark..... I fulfilled my promise for sure.

I zipped passed tree in the night, not a care in the world other than finding her.

Only she could help me, only she could do something, only she was the missing piece, only she was needed, only she was the one and I need to find her.
