Max's pov:

I was a bit uncomfortable around so many vampires but Hans did try to help with it, I guess it did since I fell asleep.

"Hey there." I looked up from rubbing my eyes and saw Alexis and Hans of in a room that looked like a kitchen.... Wait what, rewind and stop.... Alexis?!

I jumped to my feet and rushed over, throwing myself in her arms, she of course caught me as I wrapped my arms around her neck and legs around her waist.

"It's okay, I'm sorry." She whispered while rubbing my back, I felt a slight wind so I could tell Hans left.

"I was so worried." I said as I looked at her face.

"I know I'm sorry but I just needed to get away from you guys, if wolves are dangerous while raging how much more could I be right? I already hurt someone I cared about accidentally so I won't risk it."

"The third." I said without missing a beat, someone being sure that was the answer, she nodded.

"At the time he just started courting me, flirting if you will, but I had already taken in that familyless wolf baby, I had been there whole Kark's life so I guess he won my heart before he had found his mate."

"How were you together if he had one?"

"She died, they were young and a rivaling pack was around, she lost her life on the spot, he was twenty at the time and he was twenty-five when his interest turned to me, I took in my adoptive son when Kark was twenty-three.... Anyhow it was alright until another female trying to get with him arrived, I will not retell her words but at the time I didn't have as much control on myself as I do today, Kark and others could clearly see what you saw too, shaking, the glare, the bones breaking, he tried to interpose and took Loki from me so I didn't hurt him but I was seeing red and swiped my hand at him for taking what was mine, his cry of pain cleared my mind enough to notice I had clawed him across the face, I ran off deep in the forest to hurt no one else while I calmed down..... The numskull followed me haha." She rolled her eyes with a smile. "He even dared to bring Loki jeez."

"Well it was accidental." I said hugging her more before pulling away. "Ouch..." I trusted her to not drop me so I took my arms off her only holding on with my legs and rolled up my T-shirt, seeing two reddish blue bruises in forms on shoes near the bottom of my ribs.

I felt her sit me on the counter and shivered as her cold hand ghosted over the marks.

"Despite trying my best I still ended up hurting you." She said sadly as I covered myself again.

"It was an accident okay? This'll heal in less than an hour, as you can tell most of it already healed up." And then the scene changed, I am actually starting to get used to it.

I wasn't sitting on the counter but on a rock in the forest but she and eye were in the same position almost, only that here her back was to me with her head again my chest.

"Accident or not I should not hurt you." I heard her voice in a sort of echo like real and this hallucinated form of her both talked a bit out of sync but said the same thing.

"I do not care if you hurt me as long as you stay with me/us." I said hearing that other voice that had yelled a name, I think it was Hala, in the forest while I chased her but it said us not me like I did, I was talking in echo with it like she did with herself, the image not changing back.

"How can you not care?!"

"Because you are important to me/us."

"Then that's another reason to not hurt you."

"You can try alright but promise me not to run off and leave me if any of us hurt each other."

"I won't, I love you Max/----- I really do." I didn't hear what the fake Alexis said, as if her voice left just as she said the name.

"I do too Alexis/Hala." This time I clearly the other name.... Hala...

The real world finally came back as she tightly hugged me against her.

"Come on let's head back." She said after back up after around five minutes, I nodded and yelped when she picked me up like Hans did and ran out of the house.

I grabbed onto her, even I could tell she was somewhat faster than him as she zipped through the tree without a problem.

It was awing to see the tree zip by with everything until she slowed to a normal run speed as she arrived on pack land.

A few wolves waved at us as she ran by, she dropped me off at my house before going to hers after kissing my cheek, I saw her stuff piled in front of her door and mine too so Derek or someone else picked up what we discarded and brought it to our houses.

I wished to spend time with her but headed to the pack library to go see the pack librarian Kevin.

"Why hello what can I help with today?" He asked.

"We have a school project about something weird and found nothing in the human's libraries that helped me more than the teacher did." I lied, blocking of the link completely was hard but I did so, not want him to know why I honestly was doing this.

"Sure tell me what it is and I'll help."

"Well it's said someone would hallucinate himself in another time maybe like seeing the past he didn't live but the thing is it has a trigger and isn't controlled, the teacher said it to weirdly." Kevin also seemed a bit lost in thoughts.

"Well.... I think there is a book with just one thing that might be what you search, why are humans so confusing by making kids work on such thing?"

"You tell me."

I waited around before he came back with three books, an old thin book with a green colored leather covering caught my eyes that was at the bottom of the pile, the two other books thicker and brown.

"Well try to look through these and if you find nothing for that crazy school work we'll look around more." I nodded and left, hoping to have answers.

'You will soon be ready to have them.'

'Good, thank you Iris.'

'Of course.'
