Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not. -The Lorax.
My bags were packed and I headed for the car. This time Spencer was in the front and Garcia took the back seat. As well as Emily and Morgan. A small part of me hoped that we could be alone and discuss our new lives but we could not so the pair of us just kept it to ourselves. "You have a text from Adam's agency." He commented and I just nodded. "Can you read it?" His hand moved around my phone as he unlocked it only to read it aloud. "Hello Venus. We are grateful for your time. The house is still available and you can view it when ever. Just message and we can arrange a time." I thought about it. "I'll message him later." As he dropped my phone back into my bag questions were clearly moving around his head. "Which one was that?" I took a second to think but I did figure it out. "The one you liked. It is half an hour on foot from work. It is the two story." He began nodding in response. "Which one is your favorite?" I didn't really have one so just shrugged. "I don't mind. As long as baby Bean gets a room."
My phone then began ringing. Without even thinking Spencer answered it. "Hello. Is this Miss Waters?" The phone was crackling and Penelope became silent along side Emily. "Yes. How can I help you?" The voice was formal and I didn't recognise it. "It is Scott from William's Homes. We just looked over the house you were interested in and it is available. We can arrange a booking if you like." I turned left and spoke calmly. "Of course. I am out of town right now but I am headed back. Could we come over in a few hours? Five perhaps." The man was typing and clicking for a long while before finally he spoke again. "Of course. Molly shall be your agent and she will be there at three."
The car remained silent after that. For almost two hours we kept to ourselves aside from an odd whisper or comment. Until I had to interrupt it. "I need to pee. We will only arrive later by 7 minutes and 24 seconds as long as traffic stays the same. As before." I didn't leave time for any argument but I doubted that they would. Penelope seemed relieved. Her lap was the first to empty as we pulled up and then she was the last back. "Alright Baby Girl?" Her face tinged red with embarrassment. "So, moving house Venus?" I nodded and began the car again. "The baby needs Space. My small flat is too small." Penelope had clearly changed the subject but it was no real issue. "What about his place? I mean, if you and he are still going for a relationship." I moved my mouth as I was waiting for the words and then they formed. "We aren't in a formal relationship like that but instead we will be in the same house. Hence the three rooms I am looking at. I know that it is the loss or disrespect from the father that has more of a lasting effect than the mother. This little Bean deserves to have a daddy." I was only convincing myself more than the others in the car.
Without any warning Morgan put his hand on my shoulder. "Did you want that?" For no particular reason I felt like his hand was my father's and so my fingers screwed into balls as I held back my disorientation. "Yeah. I had believed that it wasn't what he wanted but it is." Slowly Morgan pulled his hand from my shoulder and I relaxed. "Who is this dude?" I laughed slightly but kept it back a little.
Saved by the bell my phone went off and Spencer answered it. Morgan and Penelope began talking. "Hello. This is Thomas Wright and I am from Houses Today. I am calling about a house that a Dr Spencer Reid has applied for. Is he there?" Before I could tell him Spencer spoke up. "Yes. I am here. How can I help?" I just hoped that the two in the back couldn't hear any of it. "Two of us right now but there will be a third in four months or so." It was out there but the two in the back had no facial change so clearly the pair were not talking. "She is here. She can also hear you so just go." I moved my attention from the backseat to the phone. "Venus We are more than happy to let you view with your partner however, we do also have another house that is considerably cheaper. It is only a two bed but if it..." Before he could say more I interrupted. "No. Three rooms is what we need." The man typed and spoke to me again. "I am told that you will be doing most of the work with the sale of the house. Can I ask when you will be free to talk further?" My mind was clouding and my thoughts running wild. "My hours are random and it isn't uncommon for me to be out of state. I am however due to take a few months off of work but that should be after we move in." For ten more minutes we spoke until the man gave in and let me go to carry on with my drive.
