She wasn't born her, she found her, over a long and treacherous road, and the more treacherous the road became the more of her she found -Atticus
Venus' POV
My hands played with the rough hair laying on my lap as Spencer reads to me. "Spencer, I have been thinking. Why don't we start to decorate again? The white is so boring and I was also thinking about taking time off of my work. For the baby and all. She calls me mummm now. She knows that I am her mother." Spencer brought his eyes to mine and the book was closed. "Yeah. We can do that. When should we start?" I took one look around the room. "Now. You get the baby dressed in her coat and strap her in. I will grab the keys and start the car after putting my own shoes and that on." His face lit up as he set about doing things. My eyes watched for a second until I got up also and left for the car. The large vehicle seemed a little too big but fit in with the other vehicles. My eye was set on a larger car as soon as possible and I had got it after all.
Seven shops were entered and we set about to find what we needed. "I will have maybe one accent walls in each room. The baby room can be a jungle or something. Ours can be the night sky. Not sure about the rest. The study could be all dark blue and the accent wall could be geometrical. Gold or yellow even." I came to life when I was organising anyone and anything. Spencer watched and smiled as I walked and grabbed colours and tape. "What is it?" I asked as we walked to a new isle. "You really are special." His arms wrapped around my back as we walked as one. Olivia was laughing and smiling in the trolly. She was just glad to be out of the car chair.
My eyes moved to the man behind me but at the poor angle all I could see was the side of his face. "What do you think? If you could decorate our home what would you do to it to make it better." His hand moved from next to mine and both of my hands were completely covered by his considerably larger ones. "You are all that my home will ever need." His corny phrase made me cringe. "Stop. What do you want?" His hands tightened their grip on mine and soon he kept me walking in the direction I chose to head in.
The shops all looked the same except some had what I wanted. "What is your favourite colour?" I asked as we wandered an isle yet again. "Green." I smiled up at him and asked what shade he enjoyed. "The same as your eyes." I scrunched up my face but watched as he pulled a can out. "This one." It was the same as my eyes and I slowly lowered it into the metal cage. Olivia began to get antsy and small cries were heard. "Come on baby girl." I comment and remove her from the seat but the second her head falls to my chest a small snore was heard. "Tired." I simply commented as Spencer took over the push power for the trolley. "Thanks." I comment as he walks by me. "You are welcome your majesty." I give a disapproving look and let him know by shaking my head that it was not acceptable to me.
The shops soon ran out and a screaming Liv had had enough. We arrived at our house at one. Two hours after leaving. Paints and a few brushes had been brought so we could start. "The baby isn't able to go into any of the rooms until the walls are dry so do you want to wait with her and I will do it?" His face seemed hesitant but eventually there was agreement. "Alright Love. See you when I hurt all over." My legs held the massive and damned strenuous weight that all of the cans and tins caused. The bags and the like all held the items in. "Spence Love." I was shouting but he wouldn't have heard me if I did not. "Yes?" He chorused back. "Where is my... Don't worry. Found it." I went back and dialled the numbers. "Hey, I am painting the house and was wondering if you would be able to help with the base coats. Just in some of my rooms. The others are already colour perfect. The rooms will also have an accent wall so it is only three walls a room."
The day had hardly passed when the door was knocked. I ran quickly and six women all entered. "Who is it love?" Spencer called from the kitchen. "Just some help. Don't you dare drink all of the juice." We all walked up the steps and I directed them into the first room. I had moved everything into the very middle or a room that didn't even need to be painted. "Alright. The walls with the pencil markings on are the desired walls. It doesn't overly matter if you get the other wall as I might paint it the same colour but if not it will be covered." They didn't need to be told twice as they began to paint with the various rollers. "So, Love." My face became a bright red or at least I felt it heat up and I was so pale that I was bound to happen. "I know you told us that you two had decided to give it a go but love is a bit more." I was giggling like a teenager. "It just happened to be honest. We were talking and we realised that we loved eachother. We are together and at first I didn't think it would help poor Olivia but now I realise that Spencer is all she will ever need in a father." I felt like I could not speak to those at the BAU. I knew that if I was struggling with what that man was doing they would side with him so I had to find another person, people to talk to. Not that Spencer could do much wrong and that bugged me.
