Not all storms come to disrupt your life. Some come to clear the path. -My Pinterest Board. 2019.

Venus' POV

My feet killed as I sat at my desk. A small frame with the three of us sat on my desk. A photo taken from a few weeks before when the snow began and little Olivia got to play in it. Her eyes lit up like her entire life was complete. She even managed to sit in it as we put her coat on. We all had slightly pink cheeks and pale faces. "What did you two put down for the time of arrival at the old but?" Morgan asked as he walked through. "10:24." I responded and Spencer just sat in silence whilst nodding. "Thanks." He gave in reply and headed off. "Hey Spence, what is the 10 thousandth number of pi?" He sat a little confused as he thought through. "Oh. 7, forget I asked." He was wide eyed and clear surprise decorated his face. "I know my pi." I joked sounding defensive. My computer pinged and I smiled. "Best be off. A lead has just come up." I commented and began to do what I usually did. My phone was away and I headed to Derek. "Got a lead." I announced and walked back to my desk. The whole team was stood near to my desk speaking as I came back in. "Should I change into more comfortable shoes?" Derek shook his head and I took a second to think. "If I end up in pain because I had to run in these you will have to carry me back." The challenge was eventually accepted and we walked out, gun in hand and then holster.

Derek and I spotted the man I had found as we walked up the street. Thomas was a kind boy but he got up to some real bad stuff. He was always a tag along though. Perfect for me though. "Mr Street? We are special agent Waters and special agent Morgan. We are with the FBI." I had barely uttered the three letters when he began to sprint. A dirty look was sent to Derek and we began to run. As I began I was slower than Derek but it was all too clear that he was a sprinter as I began to catch up and overtake him. It had to be all up hill and my shoes kept me from going any faster but it I took them off I would lose valuable time. The hill felt like a mountain and I was done before I had really begun. A burn spread through my chest as the wind hit me and I had to push on. Thomas also seemed to be a sprinter as he slowed and in a few seconds I had nearly caught him. Just as I went to get him he turned and I had to keep going. Derek seemed miles away and so it was just me. I didn't try to speak as I did know that Thomas would still keep at it and I would be breathing unevenly.

Finally a completely clear path was found so no public persons would get in my way. To my surprise Thomas seemed to have slowed to almost a walk. I may not have been all that fast but it was forgotten as I managed to catch him and flip him onto his back. "Street I am arresting you for..." I needed my lungs to fill and so I took a second before finally getting it all out. When I uttered the words "...you do not have to say anything but anything you do say can and will be used against you in a court of law." There was all the evidence to suggest that he was there and the judge had given the okay. I had only hoped not to have to arrest him. Clearly he was willing to stand for his friends. He was too bloody loyal.

We walked to the closest police car. "Special agent Waters. Could you give us a lift to the offices?" They nodded and we headed to the station and my feet were burning. "Derek. Head back to the station. I have caught him." He was clearly breathless so I just left it there and hung up on him. My throat hurt as we walked from the car but it was going to. My joints also hurt as no prep could be done before the long ass run. "Five miles. You really are a piece of crap. I am in heels." I snapped as we got back to the BAU office. As I walked into the room Derek was sweating it out and I almost laughed at the poor attempt of his. "How? I ran up a hill. That hill was straight up as well. I was lost at three miles of it all." I nodded and agreed as uniform took Thomas to an interrogation room. "We did five and a half." Wide eyes met me. "You hate running." I nodded and took a deep puff of my inhaler. "Me hating it doesn't mean I can't do it. Bloody man." A few laughs came from the team and I rolled my eyes merrily. "I also... I can't right now." I was done for. My breath was lost and at no point did it feel like I was getting it back but eventually I found that my body seemed over it.
