I have late night conversations with the moon. He tells me about the sun and I tell him about you. -S.L Gray.

Venus' POV

My phone buzzed but I placed it down on the counter. The usual text came through as I grew bored of it. Olivia was constantly almost chanting 'daddy' around the house as we stayed together. Her walking was clearly becoming quite the problem as her fingers got everywhere. "Oy, Fingers. Get out of the bloody draw." I commented as she pulled a controller out. "Food?" She nodded and ran at me, well, baby ran at me which allowed me to pick her up and place her into the chair. A sandwich, biscuit and some half satsuma segments sat before her. Small and chubby fingers picked up the food. I took the moment of no mischief to clean up the living room. I was so used to the pair of us doing it that cleaning up after her became twice as difficult. She might sleep well but when she is awake her mind and soul is set on killing my hopes. The living room was a little bit of a mess as I was still putting the furniture back after painting it the night before as the last thing that needed to happen. The sofas were moved but it meant that the dirt that laid beneath it had to be dealt with and they had to be in place.

When the rubbish was lifted I pulled the lid of the bin up and emptied my hand. When my eyes moved across to the baby her head was on her hands as she slept peacefully in the chair. I lifted her from it and placed her on the footstool with a blanket. I never had thought her to be so mischievous but there the evidence was. Still I was glad that my nights could be filled with sleep as the home had been decorated again. A new desk was even put up. As I was thinking about a small nap my phone vibrated. Not thinking I just answered. "Hey Love. We might be coming back tonight." I sighed and rolled my eyes as I laid down on the sofa. "You have said that for the past two weeks. Unless you are on the jet you are not coming back. Spence, I love you and miss you but stop lying to me and yourself. So, what is the case up to now my love?" His briefing was boring and as I was listening I fell asleep. My mind and soul had been damaged, the only answer was to sleep.

My eyes fluttered open when a small sticky hand rested on my cheek and I removed it slowly. "What?" I asked more to myself and saw that it was just saliva and most likely her lunch stuck to her. "come on little one." I pulled a wet wipe from the basket not far from me and the pack was empty as I took the last one. "Bin." I said and her small hand took the rubbish. The sound of the lid being opened and closing filled my ears as well as her pitter patter of feet. I had run out of any sort of entertainment for her. "Pat?" I asked and she nodded with the largest smile I had ever seen. My hand found the controller on my right and post man Pat was switched to the TV.

It was at times this when I felt pride in my ikle wickle baby. Her short brown hair was swaying and jiggling as her little legs pushed up and she jumped. Podgy hands clapped as she did so. "Poo." Olivia announced and my arms lifted her to the toilet. The pull ups were pulled down and I couldn't believe how a child who was only nearly two could be on the potty already. "Good girl." I kept on telling her as the toilet was used. When done I dealt with her and her little wet hand entered mine as we walked into the room as a pair. The sofas still were not back in place so I went about doing that and the TV was at an angle again, my back had begun to ache when the child's bookcase was moved but it was the last thing. "Alright poppet. Shall we go to the park?" Little hands began to clap again as well as the little legs. Well, her legs were chunky and adorable.

Two coats, four shoes and eight socks. None of which matched were found. "What has that silly daddy of yours done?" I asked as her eyes glanced over all the clothes. "He is awful at pairing socks. Always has and very likely always will be." My hand pulled the vibrating phone from my pocket. "Hello." I was calm and level despite my confusion as to when the other socks were. "The case has a new lead. We are hoping to close it soon." I sighed and rubbed my forehead. "Spencer. This has been going on for two weeks now. I know you want to come home just don't tell me something like this and then take it back. Also where the bloody hell are Olivia's socks? I can find one of every pair." I chose to think for a while. "I chucked them in the wash but don't remember hanging them out to be honest." His voice sounded a little more distant so I figured I had been put onto speaker. "You are no use. We want to go to the park and none of her socks match. I need to calm my tits down. Anyway, you are needed at home so hurry that butt of yours up." I commented and a short was heard in the distance. "Why are you always just there Derek?" I asked in a joking manner. "D'r'k." A faint sound came from Olivia. "Well, Olivia likes you for sure Mr Morgan. That is a sure sign that we chose the right godfather surely. Anyway, I don't know when I will see you again but I shall love you and leave you to whatever you are up to. I can hear a lot of static so you drive safe. Love you." The same static noise carried on for a second until a loud "bye Love." Came through and I hung up.

The park felt like a million miles away but in truth it was only a few yards. Olivia had to stop every five seconds to smell the wind and I had never been so confused in my life even through I studied science, solved some messed up cases and lived with Spencer Reid. "In you go." I told Olivia as her feet were on the edge of the park. My mind kept filling with the day she was born and her little fingers seemed so far away and yet I was able to hold them forever if I wanted to. My eyes sparkled as I watched her try and climb a slide. "How many kids do you have then?" A man asked from beside me. "One but she is enough." I nodded and I felt like he was just a nice man. "How many do you have?" I asked a short while after. "Three but two are at school." I nodded and let my eyes move to the one he pointed at. "How come you are the one here then?" He asked suddenly. "I have taken a few weeks off of work and her dad is off working. What about you?" He seemed like a man anyone could just talk to. "I work from home and my wife is working." I sat and watched as our two kids played together.

"What do you and your wife do for a living?" I asked in a random blurt. "I am a solicitor so feel free to ask any questions. Mothers normally do and my wife is a contractor. She travels the world. What about yourself and your other half? Husband?" I shook my head and keep my eyes forward. "We met at work. We are FBI agents but our job makes us travel the length and breadth of America and if we are lucky the neighbouring places like Mexico and Canada." He was surprised by this. "Really? What do you do in the FBI then?" I made a clicking sound with my cold tongue. "We solve cases that are bad. Like a serial killer is a daily occurrence and seen as a standard case." He became a little less comfortable but that washed away quickly in a second.

We sat beside eachother when both of the kids approached us. "Hello Marshmallow. How can I help you?" He sounded light and loving. "Liv. What is it? Are you having any fun?" She nodded and scrunched up her little pink nose. "What is it?" Her hand went out and hit the bag I was carrying. "Fine. It is lunchtime." My watch read 12:04. "This is late for you. You normally come to me at 11. You must be having so much fun." I handed an apple to her after taking a small bit from it and my hand ruffled her hair. As she ran off with the food the small girl beside me was gone also. My phone began to ring once again. "Spencer. Are you on the jet?" He was silent and so an answer was given. "Right. I suppose you need my help, what is it then?" The phone remained silent for a while until his voice came out loud and clear. "Hey little miss beautiful. It is Derek Morgan here. I was just wondering what the first one hundred numbers of pi were. You seem to know them well and Spencer left his phone at the office." I took in a deep breath. "3.1415926535 8979323846 2643383279 5028841971 6939937510 5820974944 5923078164 0628620899 8628034825 342117067. If you want the 100th decimal of pi it is 9 but those were the digits." A few more things passed between us and he let me go. "Bye Derek. Tell Spencer to keep his phone on him or I might be forced to hurt him bad. The book collection." I hung up and curious eyes met me.

After a few awkward moments of silence the man spoke up. "I am Leonardo Jones Hopkins. Can I just ask why you had to recite those numbers?" I opened my mouth and a small laugh escaped. "Yeah, the case the team has is bad. The local police are experiencing all of the available bad weather apparently so the electrical system is out. It has something to do with the case. I don't know what it does for them though. Oh and I am Venus Rose Waters." He seemed to accept my answer but he was still almost definitely and absolutely befuddled by my pi knowledge. "Are you super smart? I mean you sound posh and also potentially evil but that is just the English accent." I laughed as I had never been told that I sounded like a potentially evil person. "Yeah, I was part of a special program. My IQ is a little high but I was chosen for MI5. The British equivalent to the FBI. Clearly that did not happen but I was at university before puberty had really even started. What about you? You must be smart to be a solicitor. I actually thought about it but I am a little too unsocial." His laugh was a gruff one and I quite enjoyed it. "Just lucky, I never did well in my classes but my final exams were high."

Three hours had passed when Olivia had run to me and she seemed tired. "Well, we must be off. It was lovely to meet you Leo." He waved us off and I held Olivia's hand to our house again. When the door was swung open Olivia ran into the living room and she jumped on the footstool. "Get those shoes off now." I told her and she let her legs come straight out and my hands pulled the small shoes off and let her put them on the shoe rack. The sun was still bright but the rose red cheeks on Olivia's cheeks seemed to make me smile more. Her sweet cheeks kept my attention better than the bright sun.
