Our Creativity

Every Thursday feels more significant than the last,
Yet I hate them.

It's obvious we both despise Thursday,
I mean with that same dreadful class twice in the day I can understand why.

That class always reminds me of how inferior I am to everyone around me,
Their answers spark out and shine as if they were planted in the night sky.

Yet mine,
Mine feel like Pluto.

It makes me feel pathetic,
As if I'm not even Pluto,
Like I am merely a floating asteroid.

To say it softly,
It ruins my day.

But,
I look forward to it.

I look forward to seeing you,
Us talking about dreams and ambitions like we actually have a plan.

I make up a story plot,
And you finish it.

We pause time in order to write an entire story,
Or even a song at times.

We risk getting caught writing notes to one another,
Even though we sit besides one another.

One of my favourite feelings in the world is watching your face light up when I pass you a note,
I can't help but grin at what's next to come.

We fuse our creativity together,
And we create something truly beautiful.

Something commendable,
Something we both love.

It's silly to say it,
but I keep every note we exchange.

Every note,
Every idea,
Every dream we had.

And I put it somewhere safe.

Somewhere I can treasure it,
Somewhere of good use.

It gave me an idea, you know.

An idea to fuse our creativity together one last time,
Before our Thursday classes stop in June.

I remember once you told me;
"Yeah but that sounds like
a 'you idea'.
Something you would do.
Something you'd come up with."

Your smile hung from cheek to cheek and your voice breaking out into a soft giggle,
Hoping I wouldn't take it the wrong way.

And you're right,
It is a 'me idea'.

Or how silly the idea is,
Or how much everyone else hates it,

Or how it's too complex,
Or how it's still undeveloped,

I know that you'll gladly listen along to one of my ideas,
Adding your own creativity into the magical pot of our creativity.
