The young boy walked in circles, glancing at his surroundings. The only thing that had produced light was the bright moon, and somehow, he was lead into a small park. The night seemingly being endless, as it felt like it was an eternity, the morning always coming so slowly. His bare feet hit the rough pavement every step he made, but that didn't bother him all too much. He wasn't even fazed by the darkness he was in. He had gotten used to it. Even though he only spent three weeks like this, it was like it was a normal thing for him. This place had made him feel a small amount of comfort for some odd reason he couldn't explain.

He couldn't bother to go and walk home though. Did he even have a home? Thinking about it, he can't even call it that. A home didn't possibly contain murder, screams of disparity, and sexual assault, could it? It didn't have anything to do with a child being raped, scarred, and damaged for the rest of their life, did it?

Edward didn't want to go back. That house was filled with horrible and scary memories. It traumatized him. So he chose to stay at the small park he had found, after the countless times of walking for so long, he had found a small town. Every time the day came, a lot of strangers looked at him with pity in their eyes. They all felt horrible for the boy, yet they couldn't send help? Well, not at least this time.

"Hey, young lad." A man was standing infront of him, with a concerned look on his face. 'He seems nice.' Edward thought to himself. "What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be home with your family? It's almost four in the morning, boy." Edward shook his head. "I - I don't.. " he stared down at his bare feet, lips quivering. "I don't have a.. family.. " the kind man's facial features softened at him. If he felt bad for Edward, he shouldn't. The boy told himself he deserved it. He deserved every ounce of pain he felt. It was his fault that his father left him and his mother. It was his fault his mother had died. His fault that he had to like boys.

"Oh my, well then, you're coming with me." Edward tried to decline his request, or more like demand, kindly, boy shaking his head once more, his curls bouncing. "I - I'm sure t - there's no need for that. I - I'm fine on my own."

Leave me to die in peace, please.

"Oh, but son, you need to. You're freezing cold." He himself didn't even notice how he was shivering so much, and that was probably why he couldn't feel his feet and his fingers. They were frozen cold.

"My name is Yaser." His hand was stuck out for a hand shake, and Edward being his polite self, went in and accepted his hand.

"M - my name is Edward." He mentioned, giving Yaser a small smile. "Well, let's head off now. Don't want you to freeze to death." Next thing he knew, he arrived at two story house.

"My wife and my son are away for a few days. Feel free to make yourself feel at home." Noticing the happiness in his voice, the boy figured that the man, Yaser, was his name, loved them both very much. He could only wish that he was loved the same by his father. Unfortunately, that was quite the opposite. Because he was yelled at like he was a stupid, disgusting, and horrible mut. Which he took to heart, every single word Desmond said, it had put a weight on his shoulders. Edward felt like such a disappointment. A disgrace.

"T - thank you for letting me s - stay here for the night, Mr.Yaser, i - it means a lot." Yaser grinned. "No worries, son." He was given a soft pillow and a warm blanket, and clothes that weren't covered in dirt and unclean. He slept on the comfy couch, feeling himself relax into it's soft material. The sheet draped over him sending warmth to his body.

"Tell me if you need anything." Edward only nodded in response. He was tired. From the walking and late night sleeps on benches as well. His body ached terribly, but he shouldn't be complaining. At least he wasn't out in the cold. Not even trying to stay awake, he lets the exhaustion he felt consume him, and let him fall into the dreamless and dark sleep he always was in, every time his eyes closed. But it didn't bother him.
