Wattpad fucking hates me for some reason, and decided that it shouldn't save some parts of this chapter. So I needed to fucking renew some shit. Thank you very fucking much for that :)

A lot of people lived in the past, eyes trained behind them instead of what was ahead in their journey. Feeling a type of longing, hearts aching, and a feeling where you just feel so distraught and lost, as if there was nothing left of you, nor the happiness you once felt. Change appears to be the painful reality everyone faces eventually, most know that. Yet they still suffer when it comes to almost everything. Their hearts need the past to soothe them whenever they feel like they're going in the wrong path. As if things will all go downhill. They don't know where they're headed, or their purpose.

Edward hated that. He hated the fact that their was no need to avoid the truth. Letting go seemed so difficult for the brunette, as he was holding onto everything so tightly. Others seemed to be so happy, not a worry in the world at all. Edward on the other hand, struggled with moving on and leaving it all behind. He didn't want to be stuck in between the past and his present. What was done was done already, and nothing can change that, no matter how hard he tried to make himself believe that there was hope. That maybe if he did shit differently, then it wouldn't have ended like this.

Monday seemed to be dull, as he walked in the hallway, glum expression evident on his face. Zayn had yet to show himself, which brought disappointment to Edward. There was a feeling he had that the Bradford would've tried to talk to him by now, but he guessed that he was wrong.

The night before, Edward only managed to get approximately four hours of sleep, thoughts keeping him awake and alert, jumping at every sound made. Restless nights were what he despised a lot, apart from the rain. He figured that his lack of sleep was the very cause of his tired, rough, and unbalanced state.

"Edward?" Edward heard a voice call out for him, accent strong and sharp. Turning around, he sees a familiar set of blue, ocean eyes, along with dyed, blonde hair and pale skin. Recognizing him as Niall Horan, the one who ate too much and didn't seem to gain any weight at all, whatsoever. Edward honestly felt bad for the bloke, since he had to hear that from almost everyone, and because he was known for that.

"What is it, Niall?" Edward asked him with almost closed eyes. The blonde frowned seeing his lifeless, dizzy exterior, mentally telling himself to go to Zayn's house later and tell him how Edward was doing. Niall felt bad for him really.

"Have you seen Zayn? I figured he would've been with you, because you know.." Niall trailed off, making a small, sad smile appear on Edward's pink lips. They've had one of the biggest fights yet, and it was possibly the last blow to end their relationship. The last straw for Edward and Zayn to fall apart.

"Oh. Sorry, Niall, but I haven't seen him -" loud ringing by the bell interrupted both of the two boys, causing Niall's pout to deepen even more at the tone of Edward's voice. "I have to go. See you.. whenever, I guess." The curly headed boy practically leaped into full speed, running in the halls to get to his first class in the morning, leaving a confused looking Niall, who knew that something, was terribly wrong.

As he walks away to go and make it in time for his own first period, he spots a very unfamiliar face, leaning against the wall outside of their school as he neared the entrance. This looked like a man who was in his twenties, dark hair, and hooded eyes. As far as Niall could see, he was wearing black all over, eyes staring off into nothing. What made his eyes widen, was the gun etched into his pocket. The bloke didn't seem to notice Niall's presence, which made him sigh with relief.

Nervousness washed over him, and a part of him was panicking inside, but he kept his composure, and goes to leave before the second bell rings. Not before glancing at the man one last time, who now had a smirk on his lips that caused shivers to run down Niall's spine.

Something was definitely..

Really wrong..

Zayn approached his friends, who were sat at their usual lunch table. Though what made him worry was the sight of Niall, who seemed to be even paler than usual, and didn't eat the food on his tray like a rabid, wild animal. His best mate looked as if he had seen a ghost. A few hours ago, he didn't go to his morning classes, headache getting to him. He knew that it was the result of him crying last night, yet he didn't feel any regret. Zayn deserved to feel like shit. The Bradford native could only imagine how much guilt Edward's feeling right now.

Zayn knew him from the back of his hand. Edward never outright told him that he blamed himself for every little thing, but he didn't have to. Zayn already knew the moment Edward was sobbing in that alley.

Shaking his head, he sits down by Louis, who munches on his baby carrots, paying no mind to Zayn's sudden appearance. But Niall immediately sat up straight when he had a look at Zayn. Niall probably thinks Zayn looks like absolute shit, and he wasn't there to blame.

"Zee? Are you alright, lad?" Niall questioned him worriedly.

"I'm fine, Ni." He tries to smile, but he couldn't even do it successfully, and instead, he had a grimace plastered on his face. Niall's worried expression turned into something even more concerning. The Irish lad seemed to be..

Afraid.

Confusion washed over Zayn for the second time. What was wrong with Niall?

"Are you sure, Zayn?" Zayn nodded in response, ending their conversation at that. They all remained seated there in silence, eating their lunch, not meeting eachothers' eyes.

Liam and Louis know better than to interrogate them with even more questions, seeing that they were both tensed and agitated enough as they were. Niall and Zayn were stressed and upset, Niall's reason being what he saw, and Zayn's reasons being that he was the reason that maybe Edward was pushed into a rough, mental state, and his best mate, who cringed at every noise. The silence lasted until they had to go their seperate ways.

Meanwhile, the mysterious man could only grin madly wide at them. Loving the fact that they were all too oblivious of his and his crews plan. All of them were either too aggravated and anxious, or angry and lost. They wouldn't even know what would hit him if he decided to make a move. He knew that the blonde one saw him, but he didn't even dare to say a word, or even a peep. And if he did, he had to deal with him, and he didn't want to do that again. It wore and bore him out of his mind, if he was being honest with himself. The man chose to remove that thought. Edward should've thought twice before stepping into his world. Now they will all suffer the consequences of Edward's actions.

And all of them will pay.

He will make sure of it.

And nothing was going to stop him from succeeding.

Nothing..

At all..
