Berkeleys POV

"I can't believe Sara is six now." I said. "Yea it was like she was born just a few weeks ago and now she's just growing up." Brixton said. "Hey mom I'm going to the skatepark with some friends. I'll be back later this evening." I heard William say. "Freeze!" I said. He froze as he was opening the door. I walked over and looked him in the eyes. "Don't do anything I wouldn't do." I said. He nodded. His kissed his forehead and we was off. "Y'know he can't stay young forever." "I know it's just. I didn't want him to grow so fast." I said. He kissed my cheek. I looked up at him. "I love you." I said. "And I love you Mrs.Pritchard." Brixton said. He picked me up and took me to the couch. I sat up right and we watched a movie. I forgot it was movie night.

Williams POV

"Aye BJ. Guess you weren't a whimp." Daniel said. I looked straight on not showing that I really just wanted to go home. "So this'll be fun. Whoever fails takes a puff of the blunt." "And what if no one takes a puff?" I asked. "Then we'll beat the shit out of them." Daniel said. I nodded. "Hey come on it'll be fun. I mean your grandpa and your mom do it." He said. That gave me some reassurance. If mom and grandpa did it, it should be perfectly fine. We started. I went down the ramp perfectly. But as soon as I hit the flat ground I hit a large rock and fell off. "Ha! Looks like you take it first BJ!" Daniel and his friends laughed. I took the blunt out of his hands. "Oh and it's gotta be a big one." He said with a smirk. I inhaled the fumes. I coughed a bit. "And you say you're born in the Bay Area." He scoffed. I then felt something I've never felt before. I felt like I was lighter than air. Like I could do anything.

Six hours later

Berkeleys POV

I was starting to get worried. William should have been home by now. I held my hand to my mouth and paced. Suddenly I heard the door open and saw William. He was smiling. "William where have you been!?" I said. I looked into his eyes. I familiar smell hit my nose. His eyes where red and glazed over. "William..... Why?" I said holding back tears. "Daniel said you and grandpa use to do it." "Yea used to William. And it ruined both of our lives." I said. He went into thought. I saw tears start to fill his eyes. "Hey it's ok William.... it's ok." I said all while pulling him into a hug. "I'm sorry... I didn't know they tricked me." He said in between sobs. I heard Brixton come down. He rushed towards us. "It's ok Will." He said trying to help soothe William. William looked at us. "I want you to go take a shower. When I was younger a shower always helped me." I said. He nodded and ran upstairs. "What happened?" "He's high babe. Something that I hoped would never happen." I said. My voice trembling. "It's going to be ok." He said quietly. He put his arms around me and we swayed. I looked up at him. "Everything is going to be fine. I promise." He said softly. We sat down on the couch and drank some coffee. I still couldn't believe my son was involved in drugs. It's like a broken record. Dad got addicted, I got addicted, and now possibly my son is going to get addicted. I put my head in my hands. "Y'know this isn't gonna make me keep him at home 24/7. I'm just gonna be more careful and know where he's going." I said. "Well yea I am too Berkeley. And you want to know something else?" "What?" "The y'know runs in the family." He said with a smile. I playfully hit my husband. He was right. William and Sara day y'know. It's like a curse. I mean damn even my own brothers say it. I heard footsteps coming down the stairs. It was William. I walked over to him. "Better?" I asked. He nodded. "Now go get some sleep. You're gonna feel like shit in the morning." I said. He nodded. "Thanks mom and I'm sorry." He said as he hugged me. "It's alright William. It's alright." I said. He ran up to his room.

Williams POV

I sat in my bed. If I had known what I did was wrong I wouldn't have done it again and again. But it felt so good. It's like I craved it. But I couldn't I promised mom. I laid down and closed my eyes. Dreading what I had done.

Brixton's POV

I looked at Berkeley she was fast asleep. I looked at the time. It was two in the morning. She hadn't been sleeping lately. She was always staying up in her recording room and then being tired all day long. She looked dreadful. But now that William has been exposed to drugs I have a feeling this insomnia will take an incline. I looked back at her. I put my arms around her waist and fell asleep.

Williams POV

I woke up. My head was pounding. Mom did say I was gonna feel like shit. I decided to just stay in bed and fall back asleep.

Berkeleys POV

I heard light footsteps as I was cooking. I looked over and Sara was walking in. "Good morning mommy." "Good morning sweetheart." I said. She sat down. I poured her some grape juice. I resumed my cooking when I was startled by a pair of arms wrapping around my waist. "Morning beautiful." "Morning." I said. He kissed my cheek and ran off to Sara. "Daddy!" I heard Sara giggle. I looked over and saw William with his hand on his head. He sat down. I poured him a glass of orange juice and gave him some Advil. "Well you were right mom. I do feel like shit." He said. I just nodded. I put breakfast on the table. We all sat together as a family.
