(it's february right now but who cares? also this'll be the last one, i promise.)[blue christmas - fur]
as i pressed the doorbell, my mum and dad went out of the car. dad was helping mum carry the other bags.
my brothers and i stood on the door, waiting for someone to open it and let us in.
“oh, hey guys!” my cousin opened the door as she enthusiastically greeted us.
“what's up?” my brother offered a high five, she accepted it anyway. i ran back to mum to help her out with the bags then all of us went inside their house.
“hello, auntie. we're here!” i greeted with my cousin on my side. she was on the kitchen baking chocolate chip cookies.
“oh, all of you finally have arrived safely!” my aunt cheered. “just in time, i just baked cookies for you and your brothers.” she offered a plate filled with five cookies.
“ooh, me want!” my brother took one of the cookies from the plate then ate it.
“you haven't even greeted auntie yet...” i said as i was about to take one cookie from the plate.
“good morning, auntie!” he greeted. “there, are we good?” he asked as he took a bite on his cookie then walked out.
“wow, your brother's being pretty sassy.” my cousin said as she sipped on her tea.
“he always was.” i chuckled as i took a cookie.

my aunt, uncle, and my parents were chatting on the living room while my brothers were hanging out on my cousin's brother's room. (they also told me they'll be sleeping there instead of sleeping in the guest room)
while my girl cousin invited me to sleep and hang out in her room. i accepted but i started to feel bad about my parents because not one of us were going to sleep with them for two nights.
“so, how's life treating you this year?” she casually asked as she placed the plate filled with cookies beside her. “we haven't seen each other ever since last reunion.”
“i guess life is treating me okay? maybe? well, i met a new friend then became friends with his friends too. so, i guess that's cool.” i replied as i took another bite on my cookie.
“his? so, it's a guy? well that's new...” she chuckled with her almost high pitched voice. you see, she's four years younger than me. also, she was really annoying when we were younger.
“it's not in that way, by the way. i don't want you to assume that like everyone else.” i added.
“yeah, yeah. i know. you're lovesick.” she responded.
“not really...”
“no, you kind of are.” she said as she bit on her cookie again. “you rarely get crushes.”
“yeah, so what? actuallu, i had crushes before. i just didn't tell you about them. wait, why are we talking about crushes?” i questioned.
“do you have a crush right now?” she asked as she scooted closer.
“maybe?” i replied. “i don't know? well, i guess i do. wait, no!”
