The photo above is of Chase and one of his closest gal-friends :)

I moaned as I felt someone shake my shoulder. I opened one sleepy eye and squirmed. Chase was leaning over me in his boxers. I squeaked and hid under the covers. “You’ve got twenty minutes sweetheart. Liam’s just opened your front door.”

“Twenty minutes?!” I squeaked, jumping out of his bed. I clutched my dress from across the room and slid my feet into my pumps. I rushed out of his house and slid into my house quietly, hoping that I wouldn’t wake anyone. Liam was sitting in the kitchen so I had to dart passed him and up the stairs.

Once in my room, I rifled through my drawers and produced a black, cropped distressed vest top with fringes pieces lining the bottom rim of it and pale acid washed skinny jeans that I folded a small part of the bottom up and a pair of black Converse. I had the quickest shower I’ve ever had and pulled my hair up into a messy bun because I couldn’t be bothered to do anything practical with it. I only had ten more minutes. I changed into my clothes. I brushed my teeth and applied my makeup. I hurried down the stairs to face Liam who stood expectantly at the bottom of the stairs.

“Look who snuck in this morning from Chase’s house,” he said with an unamused expression. “He texted me last night but my phone was off. So you were out partying?”

"Don’t tell Mum,” I begged. “It was my first party and never again, I swear. Chase just gave me a lift home and then gave me his bed to sleep in.” Ouch, I could’ve left that last bit out.

“You slept in Chase’s bed?” he raised his voice. I charged towards him and grabbed his strong biceps and looked into his eyes.

“Keep it down idiot,” I hissed. “He slept downstairs. Nothing happened, I was too tired. Look, it’s no big deal. You party all the time.”

He tried to argue but he knew I had caught him out. He sighed and took a step back so I could run into the kitchen and snatch a few packets of Skittles from my secret stash at the back of the vegetable cupboard. With those in hand, I rushed outside to see Chase leaning against his motorbike.

“Wanna ride?” he shouted over to my lawn. I looked at my fiat 500 and then at his motorbike. I’d never been on a motorbike before. I nodded and jogged across my lawn over to his. He grinned and handed me the only helmet. I felt bad for putting him in danger.  “I’m not gonna argue with you Scarlett, put the damn helmet on and hurry up.”

I nodded quickly and slipped it on. He moved onto the motorbike and waited for me to slip on behind him. I slid a leg over and quickly blushed with the intimate position. I had my arms on his shoulders waiting for him to start. “Put your arms around my waist dummy. You’re going to fall off you put your hands on my shoulders.” Oh right. I slid them around his waist and felt his rock-hard abs. Damn.

He revved the engine to life and pulled away from his driveway and zoomed down the road. Pieces of my hair had fallen out loosely to frame my face and were flying behind me. The fringes on my top were fluttering in the heavy wind and my heart was hammering in my chest. It was the most exhilarating thing I’d ever done in my life.

We pulled up in the school’s carpark. It took half the time it would’ve taken me to get there in my car. I took off his helmet and immediately got a bunch of stares. Oh god, I was embarrassing him. “You don’t have to walk in with me, you know.”

“What the fuck’s that supposed to mean? You’re embarrassed to be seen with me?” he glared at me suddenly. My heart seized in my chest as his glare pierced through me.

“No, no, I just thought that … you walking with the loner girl would ruin your reputation,” I murmured. His gaze didn’t lighten.

“That’s for me to fucking decide,” he hissed and stormed away from me. I stared after him glumly.
