The video above is of Scarlett and Tristan - just a little memories video, I thought it would be cute :)

I sat at Tristan, Zee and Chase’s table at lunch except that Chase was absent probably off with a girl. It wasn’t one of those awkward lunches were the couple make out and one’s left to awkwardly avoid our gaze. Tristan didn’t make a move on me in front of Zee, thank goodness. “Hey, I’m going to go buy a packet of skittles from the machine. Do you want anything babe?”

“Oh yes, Tristan my love! I would love some multi-coloured skittles, honey!” Zee mimicked in a high-pitched voice. Tristan and I rolled our eyes at the same time. What a pair we were.

“He’s right,” I turned to a standing Tristan behind me. “I do want some skittles. Honey.” Tristan shook his head and started laughing, walking away and leaving me alone with Zee.

“So where does the name Zee come from?” I asked curiously.

Zee was good looking. He was half-Mexican and had one of those thick Me-hi-co accents. He had a lovely Mexican tan and chocolate brown eyes to match his chocolate brown hair. He wasn’t as tall as Chase but he was certainly very tall. “My real name’s McKenzie. McKenzie – Zee.”

“Ah,” I nodded. “But why not Mac? You always hear about Mac in those novels.”

“I don’t do clichés,” he shrugged. “So you’ve heard about Nikki and Chase, right?”

Nikki Black was the person I hated most in the world other than my dad. She was the queen bee with crystal blonde hair and icy blue eyes and fake tanned skin. She talked in a chipper too sweet to be true voice that made me want to be sick. In public she would always talk to me in a bitter sweet manner but behind closed doors, she was a class-A bitch. She also happened to be Aimee Hill’s best friend – the two make a wonderful pair.

“Lemme guess, they’re a couple now?” I took a spoonful of macaroni and cheese and popped it into my mouth with a gag. Zee smirked and offered me a slice of his Domino’s pizza which he had ordered to the school. I took a slice of the warm pepperoni pizza gratefully and thanked him.

“Yeah, well she’s been telling everyone they’re a couple and she and Aimee have fallen out about it. Chase says it’s not true and he’s furious because he’s losing some of his hook ups because everyone thinks he has a girlfriend. Nikki’s sneaky like that,” Zee shook his head disapprovingly.

“Well, that doesn’t surprise me in the slightest,” I shrugged.

“So you and Tristan hmm? Where’d that come from?” Zee asked.

“I’m not sure. Chase moved in next door and I talked to him briefly like twice. Our windows are next to each other’s and then I went to a party with my ex and Chase drove me home and stuff and Tristan is Chase’s friend so he introduced himself to me and I guess … he just asked me out,” I smiled brightly. Zee nodded.

“I mean this sincerely; I hope you two last. I know Tristan has a track record and whatever but he was talking to me before you came to lunch and I can tell he really likes you. And you’re a nice girl, he should consider himself lucky.”

“Thank you, Zee,” I giggled. “So you don’t think I’m a freakish loser?”

“No of course not. Why would I think that?” he frowned.

“Um, it’s kind of what you called me one day when I walked into you. I think it was last week maybe,” I laughed. His cheeks tinged red.

“I’m sorry Scarlett. I sound like a douche,” he laughed it off. “I’m gonna be at Chase’s tonight with Tristan too so be sure to throw a rock at his window and say hello.”
